Do you ever feel like you can't clean as fast as your LO(s) and/or SO make messes?
Just feeling frustrated this morning and looking for commiseration

Ugh. I don't bother cleaning toys during the day. It's the kitchen messes that bug me the most. And sometimes Dh "helps" by cooking which means even more dishes. (To be fair he deals with the dishwasher more often than me though).

Totally feel you! My house looks like a tornado most days. It's at least tidy at night, of course when visitors are around to see it.
@Foodnerd81: Mine helps like that on occasion also. My favorite part is messing up the appliances I just spent forever cleaning. Happens every. single. time.

LO, yes. I need to be better about having her clean up before moving on to another activity. My 1 year old is actually the biggest culprit right now. She likes to pull toys out of all the cubbies and things out of all drawers she can access.
My DH is actually very clean, I probably leave more messes than him! So, no complaints there.

With a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old I am barely keeping up, especially around mealtime. I keep everything tidy for the most part but bigger clean jobs like floors and bathrooms don't happen as often as I'd like.

Yes. With a 3 year old, 23 month old, and a newborn, it's almost impossible to stay on top of the mess the older two create! I just do a big huge clean at night, after they've gone to bed

@Boogs: don't get me started on the pan he used to make grilled cheese that I haven't been able to get clean again. Honestly, how does grilled cheese permanently mess a non stick pan?
Other than that though I'm the messier one and he does clean up on the weekends more than me.

My husband is the worst culprit. I can stay on top of the toys and general kid mess but he comes home like a tornado, hands the kids kinetic sand, and walks away

Yes!!!!! We finally got a cleaning service every 2 weeks and while I'm thankful for it we still have huge messes in between. I just said to my husband today that we have to straighten before the cleaning people come. The house is a mess!

Yes. I've been feeling like in drowning in mess lately. I can't keep up.

@Canoli: we always have to clean before the cleaning people come!

Yup. It's bad at my house but it's even worse when I bring him to work with me. I am a nanny/house manager for a family which is a) AMAZING because LO can come to work with me and b) immensely frustrating that I have to do 2x the work around their house. Their kids are older so they have no reason to babyproof and LO gets into EVERYTHING. It's exhausting to keep a close eye on him, organize/clean up/make their dinner, and then clean up all the mess he's created in the meantime!

Yep, it's the biggest source of tension between me and DH that I have to try to clean up after him as well as DD. Most of the time I just can't handle it all so the house stays a mess. I just aim to make sure it's only messy, not actually dirty.
