We are having friends over for to watch some football on Sat. We are going to do a Taco Bar for food.
Anyone have a good margarita recipe? I never make them but it sounds good!

Lawbee has a great one for frozen strawberry margaritas!
ETA: I like this mix. I buy it at Kroger. http://www.tresagaves.com

I have a weird but delicious one:
12 oz can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
12 oz can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup powdered sugar
4 egg whites
6 cups crushed ice
1 quart club soda, chilled
Tequila to taste. I like white tequila
Combine lemonade and limeade concentrates, powdered sugar, egg whites, and ice, mix well. Cover and freeze, stirring occasionally. Remove from freezer 30 min before serving.

My recipe is very basic but it's the way my dad makes them and I really only like them this way. Buy a small thing of frozen limeade concentrate. I think they're 4 oz cans. Add that to the blender and fill the empty container with tequila. Add a small splash of triple sec (at most an ounce) and fill the rest with ice. Blend away and enjoy!

@Smurfette: I know, I know! I used the ones from the carton that are pasteurized. It just makes the margarita a little foamy but has no flavor

For 1 margarita:
1shot whit tequila
1/3 shot triple sec
1 shot lime juice (about 3 limes)
1 shot simple syrup
Shake and pour over ice. Adjust quantity as necessary. Makes a pretty strong drink so you could prob add some club soda or something if you wanted them weaker.

@BananaPancakes: @blackbird: Every time my family gets together, the ladies make Beer-rita's. 6 beers and one can of frozen limeaid together. Even the ones that don't like beer will drink them. So refreshing!

My recipe is so crazy simple and they taste so good. Everyone I've made them for loves them. They're pretty strong, so use lots of ice!
1 can frozen limeaid
Fill limeaid can with water
Limeaid can of tequila
1 light/mexican beer
Mix and serve over ice! Easy peasy.

These all sound so good...I made two last week. The first had 1 can limeade, 4 shots white tequila and 2 quarts ice. It was way too sweet. The next one was Mae's recipe but I didn't add enough lime and I put too much of the simple syrup in so I'll have to try it again!
Probably trying yours next, @lawbee11:!

I use the same as @MUI831: but use half a can of triple sec. (2 oz)

My FIL makes the best margaritas, we served them at our housewarming last year and they got rave reviews. Tasty and not too sweet.
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
12 fluid ounces tequila
12 fluid ounces 7-up
12 fluid ounces beer (We use Corona or Bud light usually)
ice
