Just got mine last night after reading so many good things about it on HB!
Do you use level I or II? How many holes are open?
I started on level I with all the holes open.
What's your magic combination?

When he was a newborn, it seemed so loud! I did level 1 with all holes open. Now DS is 16 months and I use level 2 all holes open.

Haha I sold ours because no way was it loud enough with a toddler in the house.

We started at full blast...all holes open, level 2 (bottom). Around 15 months I think we knocked it down to level 1 (top) but still all holes open. They seemed tobe getting less sensitive to house noise and just figured that lower would be better. But if we have someone here working or family that's talking, etc. we'll take it back to 2 to drown some of it out.

I just mess with it until I can get it as loud as possible!!!!

Level 1 and then just turn the sides and top until it sounds good to me. I don't like it to sound too "deep", so I have the sides almost all the way closed and top with 4 holes (I think.) My little guy messes with it, so sometimes it sounds totally different!

We have 2! One is inside his room, level 1 open all the way. Then we have another in the hallway, level 2 all open. We have hardwood floors and my toddler and husband are so loud!

um, what is all this talk about "holes"? i didn't find it as loud as i hoped, is there something i can do to increase the white noise?? I always put it on level 2, but did not know there were other adjustments i could make!

@californiadreams: you should be able to kind of twist the top to cover/uncover the holes.
I didn't know you could uncover the sides too??

i have it on level 2. i have had it for over a year and didn't realize that the bottom twists as well as the top. the bottom twist makes it way louder.
