Coming up on 48 hours of antibiotics for a raging case of mastitis and my boob is still very red and sore. Normal?

Within 24 hours of the antibiotics my fever dropped but I was still sore for a few days.

About 5 days the two times I had it.
ETA: My fever took a little over 48 hours to break this last time.

My fever always went down pretty quickly. Like soon after the first dose and gone within 24 hrs. The redness and soreness took closer to a week to go away and took a couple days to start really feeling better. I also tried to pump and nurse a lot from that side to make sure it didn't get engorged. Sorry you're not feeling well.

Thanks ladies! Fever I thought broke after 24 hours but I had another really sweaty night last night. I was more worried about the redness but an glad to hear it takes a little while to clear.

Yep normal. I think the last time I had it, it took 5 days to go down in terms of swelling and redness.
