My youngest has had diarrhea the past few days, and she woke up with poop (sorry) soaked through her sheets and mattress protector! I was not thrilled, since obviously I wanted it to protect her bed. I think I need a better one, but not sure what to look for. Something waterproof, obviously this one isn't. Which one do you have for your LO? We will be potty training soon too, and her mattress is brand new so I don't want it to get completely ruined.

I have this one on LO's mattress and like it. She soaked pee through her pull up once and the sheets and mattress protector were both really wet but underneath was perfectly dry. And it doesn't feel or sound plasticky.

@Bao: Oh- ha, i didn't see we posted the same one! I have pillow covers from the same brand that fit on the mattress on our mini pack and play and have washed them a few times and they came out fine. Hope it works!

We use ones from Ikea and then I found a random brand on amazon. When the kids are really sick with a stomach bug or something like that, I also put down one of those disposable mattress pads between the sheets and the mattress protector.
