I'm 10.5 weeks and I've been having mid-level pain in my belly near my rib cage all weekend. Is this normal? It's on and off but I notice it 3-4 times a day.

@cmomma17: nope directly in the center. I have t gained anything this time so I was just writing it off as my belly expanding but I had the typical cramping at 6-8 weeks so idk.

@jetsa: okay good. I have gallbladder issues, so the pain is always exclusively on the right side. Hopefully yours is just stretching and growing pains!

I had this on and off my whole pregnancy. For me it was usually on the right side, but no gall bladder issues, just regular annoying pregnancy pains! Happened with both of my boys.

I had horrible epigastric pain (upper middle abdomen) at about 16 weeks. They thought it was my gallbladder but labs and ultrasounds were negative so they diagnosed it as gastritis (irritation of the stomach itself - rather than standard reflux where it's the esophagus that's inflamed) and put me on nexium and pepcid. I thought they were crazy but the meds have helped a lot!
I would definitely talk to your Dr if it gets bad!

I had some pain early on, but it was more towards my right side- sort of felt like when you get a stitch in your side from running. I wrote it off as pain from everything getting ready to move around and make room for baby. But if it gets worse I would definitely mention it to your doctor!

I would get these pains during pregnancy. Not so much in the center, but a sharp stitch in my ribs. Doctor never seemed concerned and it usually went away if I just laid down and relaxed. No clue what it was but I hated it!
