I have some gift cards to use up from Babies R Us and thinking ahead, I’m considering buying an easy to travel with booster for the car. Has anyone used the Mifold Grab and Go booster seat?
Based on reviews I’ve read it seems like it’s less comfortable than a regular booster but small enough to fit between two regular car seats.
My 4.5 year old is still in a harness, but thinking into the future for travel and car pooling, but curious about reviews!

From what I have seen they have a very unpredictable, and often dangerous, fit. The fit will vary quite a bit based in the car. For some other compact (ish) travel options I would look at the BubbleBum or the Graco Turbobooster TakeAlong

@catgirl: oh the TurboBooster take along looks great! I’m curious if it would fit between my two car seats in the back, but would be good for car pooling in other friends cars either way. Thanks! And yeah the mifold doesn’t look like as good of an option. Bubblebum isn’t available at BRU.
ETA: oh now I’m realizing the take along option they have is backless, or the high back take along is $100- no point in paying that when i don’t have a current need and am just trying to use up $40 gift cards.

I researched it heavily for travel purposes and read the same thing about the dangerous fit so I ended up buying the bubblebum. We’ve been really happy with it. Super small for travel.

@Shantuck: yeah- seemed too good to be true. But that Graco TurboBooster take along does sound pretty great. I’m just waiting until I have a need for it and I got a bunch of random stuff instead.

DH bought a mi-fold, but we haven't used it yet. It is so small, it's amazing. I think if you want it just for travel, it's fine. I pointed out the bubble bum to DH but he vetoed that immediately. He said he didn't trust it to safely stay inflated long term.

Ooh we need to get a lightweight travel booster for our 5 year old too. Looks like the Bubblegum got good reviews so I'm considering that. I'll be interested if anyone else has input!

@Foodnerd81: @dolphin: we just bought the graco take along backless booster for an upcoming trip, in part thanks to this thread! I will come back and let you know how it works for us!
