My daughter is having her 4th birthday party at a craft store from 10-12. They’ll supply all the crafts and I can bring in food and drink. I was thinking bagels, fruit and cupcakes. Is that too little/too much? Any other ideas?

It's perfect! We were at a birthday at the same time and the kids all swarmed to mini bagels, cream cheese, fruit, and pirates booty. They did not touch the veggie tray.

I would either do mini bagels or cut full size bagels in half before serving, but otherwise, sounds perfect to me. Plus cream cheese. You could add mini muffins too but then the kids are less likely to eat the slightly healthier bagel before the cupcake.

Are the adults staying? Do you have chick fil a? We had a tray of chicken minis at a morning party and it was a big hit. I think what you have is great though, just if you want to add something!

@bhbee: Chicken minis are the best! If parents are staying, I’d do chicken minis and mimosas.

@Hypatia: @bhbee: I love the idea of chicken minis for a little play date I'm hosting this upcoming weekend. what else did you serve with them?

Thanks for all the suggestions! The parents are staying for the most part so maybe I should pick up something else as well. I don’t shop at Chick fil A on principle, but I could do something similar. Mini quiche?

@mrsbookworm: I found really yummy frozen mini quiches at Sam's Club for a brunch party we had recently. So easy, and they were popular!

@agold: fruit and something mini and bread-y would be my go-to. I also like the yogurt idea!

@ladybaltimore: Good call! I’ll have to see if Costco seems something similar

@mrsbookworm: I see that you’re in NJ. Do you have FreshDirect? They have lots of frozen options like bacon egg cheese croissants and mini quiches. They also do big fruit trays and bagels and muffins. You could order everything for the night before as late as possible.
