What has been the most life changing product you've purchased since becoming a parent?
For us, it's the OK to wake clock, hands down. I haven't been this well rested in YEARS, and neither has DD. Best $20 I've ever spent.

I really dug my Ergo 360. And still use it occasionally for my 25 month old.

The Fisher Price sit me up chair. DD wanted to sit upright before she could even fit in the bumbo. She loved that chair!

Baby gear: the mamaroo!
Recently: I bought a RuMe insulated tote bag insert, it's pretty flat so I can carry snacks for DS & and keep them cold in my normal bag.

@lioneyes: oh that insert sounds awesome! I'm checking it out now!

Definitely the beco Gemini. Discovering babywearing was life changing.

Door monkey when my 2.5 year old was giving me hell at sleep times.

Maybe the train table - my three year old will go in the basement and play by himself, and the one year old loves it too.

With LO2 the baby shusher is a game changer on the go and getting her to sleep.

@Mrs. Pickle: I just ordered this. LO2 wants to sit up and look around, but I don't want her in the bumbo type seat cause her head still bobbles a little. DH is going to kill me for buying more baby stuff, but she isn't a huge fan of the bouncer.

@looch: we are getting these installed - I cant wait! Its such a pain to be in the backyard and want access to the basement only to find the door is locked!

@dc yoga bee: he he. I can definitely relate to that!
I'm not sure we have a be all end all product. We didn't buy them for our LOs, but maybe letting them use our iPads?
pomelo / 5573 posts
@looch: Really? My husband talks about these all the time and I can't stop making fun of him ("oooh, it's SO HARD to unlock a door!") but I also tend to make fun of him about things that I later couldn't live without (our tv download system, the water/ice on the fridge, etc)
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@erinbaderin: Well, it's not about unlocking the door, it is about not having to have keys.
I was the biggest skeptic. We can, for example, set it so that our cleaning lady has her own code that works for a certain period of time. If she forgets the code or comes to the house outside of her usual day, we can wirelessly unlock it. When we go on vacation, my dad can get the mail and bring it inside and we don't have to make copies of keys and give them out.
I can take my son for a walk down the street without having to bring anything, I never have to think about where I put my keys!

I'd say babywearing too. I have a whole collection and looking back wish I wore DD1 sooner. With DD2 I wore her as soon as she stopped sleeping all day long and it has been a life safer.
Oh and for this baby, the small silicone manual "pump" that you attach to one boob while feeding on the other. I was able to save at least a bottle a day during maternity leave without any extra work!

@looch: We are getting a new entry door and need to select new hardware. I'm seriously considering a keyless entry. We currently have two keys to our house. My husband has both of them! I don't even have a key to my own house.

Keyless entry is great! I also thought it was silly when my husband wanted to install them but now I can't imagine going back.

Least used was our expensive Lilebaby carrier. Who knew DS wouldnt be a carrying type of baby. It was so pretty ...
Best purchase was probably the halo bassinet bc of the vibration. Used it til it was absolutely unsafe. Ha. Also Amazon Prime which we got when I was pregnant. Does that count?? I neverrrrr go into a store anymore.

My lillebaby hands down! @wrkbrk: I guess it all depends on the baby, hey? Mine hated the stroller...
nectarine / 2180 posts
@looch: We have this too, and it's the best! So far we only have it on the front door; it'll be awhile before I can convince my husband to spring for the back or side doors.

Oh and we didn't get it this winter, but still consdering for next winter... Remote car starter! We live in the NE and now with two kids I think I really need it!

Honestly, the rock and play was a lifesaver for us!
Not parenting related, I'd say Amazon Prime. Not only for ordering all.the.things but I also use it for music and we have the tv stick and I use it for photo storage.

Above everything else, a pumping bra. I exclusively pumped and it was amazing to be hands free.

Although, I must admit, it was sort of for DH and I... But it's great for the kids too!

@Pancakes: funny, we are the opposite. We have it on the garage door and a back door, but not the front!

I am so shocked no one has said Instapot yet! I don't even have one but all anyone says is how amazing they are!

@looch: it was a difficult decision to come to ($$$) but so worth it for our health (physical and mental!!)

Probably our Boba baby carrier. My son wouldn't hardly take naps without it. The "breast friend" breastfeeding pillow comes in a close second.
Also, just have to note the kids membership at the gym deserves a big shout out. Our local gym has a fantastic kids center with wonderful women who have watched my son for 2 years. I would have never gotten in the best shape of my life if it wasn't for them!
Nice topic btw. It's fun to read all the responses.
