So many people mentioned going to musicals that I thought we'd open a separate thread!
Bee and I went to see Book of Mormon a few years ago, and loved it! I really want to see Hamilton later this year - maybe after it moves to Broadway.
What musicals have you seen lately and/or loved? Any recommendations for musicals that everyone else should see?

Miss Saigon is probably my number 1 fave. I've also seen Phantom, Tommy, Allegiance, CATS, Rent, In the Heights, Book of Mormon, Wicked, (and more...)

I love musicals! I've seen tons - on Broadway, Broadway touring shows, and off Broadway. My favorite is Rent. I've also seen Phantom, Crazy for You, Aida, Lion King, Les Mis, Wicked, Avenue Q, Bring in 'da Noise, Fiddler on the Roof... I'm probably missing some, too. I grew up in a small town in Central PA, but we have a great theater that gets lots of Broadway touring companies. Very lucky!
Oh, I did forget several - 42nd St, Annie, Chicago, The Producers, Spring Awakening, Sunset Boulevard, Stomp, and Spamalot!

I haven't seen many though I do love them. On Broadway I've seen Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Wicked, The Color Purple, and Fela. I saw Avenue Q Off Broadway. I missed Rent, but I have the Broadway soundtrack and love it.
I want to see The Book of Mormon and we want to take LO to Mamma Mia and The Lion King when she's a bit older. Tickets are so damn expensive though! I saw The Color Purple and Les Miserables for free and Wicked was my birthday gift last year.
Fela was awesome, great if you like his music and/or Afrobeat. I LOVED Wicked.
I want West Side Story to come back. I love the movie.

I've seen too many to mention (I probably see 3+ a year), but I LOVE Avenue Q. Those songs get stuck in my head and I think it is so hilarious.

@mrsjazz: I saw Fela when it first came out....there are a few songs of his that I used to be obsessed with in my 20's. Obsessed. I had a standing room only ticket, haha.

I try to see a Broadway show at least once or twice a year. The last one was Cabaret this summer - so, so good! And my husband even liked it. It was the same production/star I saw on Bway in college so it was also kind of nostalgic.

DH and I used to be season ticket musical holders to the Dallas Summer Musical series. Sad we don't go anymore. Love musicals!! My favorite it probably Mamma Mia. I'd love to catch a few on Broadway one day. Bucket list!

I've seen a ton, but my favorites were Wicked, Phantom, Lion King, Joseph, Singing in the Rain and Sound of Music.
Yesterday I received the brochure for the local theatre and was so sad that I don't have time to go see things anymore! I am hoping LO will want to join me when she's a little older.

I liked Book of Mormon, Spamalot, Jersey Boys, Lion King, and Avenue Q a lot. I've seen a lot of musicals, some I don't remember as well. I've seen Beauty and the Beast and Phantom of the Opera a long time ago. I recently saw Newsies, and it was pretty good. Not my favorite, but entertaining. My next musical is Kinky Boots in a couple weeks!

Chicago is my FAVORITE! My husband refuses to watch it with me (or see it live), because I'm the annoying person singing the whole time. My high school boyfriend took me to see it ... Hubby has some catching up to do!

On Broadway: Showboat, Joseph (with Donny Osmond), Wicked (2x), Rent (2/3x, once with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal...I was so excited to meet them!), Book of Mormon, Mary Poppins, Dreamgirls ...probably forgetting some.
Non-professional: Anything Goes, Cats, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Sound of Music, Les Mis, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Godspell, West Side Story, Music Man, Cinderella, Fiddler on the Roof
I was in Hello, Dolly!, Guys and Dolls, Wizard of Oz, and No, No, Nanette in HS.
I was supposed to see Newsies when it came to Chicago, but DS got sick. I really want to see a production of The Last 5 years! Love it!

The peak of my musical theater watching was seeing Rent in the first three months of it opening on Broadway. It was even before the hype completely exploded. Poignant moment.
Beyond that, I still have yet to see Book of Mormon, which I think I would love. It's coming here soon and I think it would be fun to see here.

@sunny: Oops! Forgot Lion King! My bf at the time got us aisle seats. That was pretty amazing.
