I recently started on a new project at work (I started mid-March). It's essentially building a prototype on an existing architecture. I'm the only software person who will be working on this full-time and the thought at the moment is I will be doing the majority of the coding.

My program manager has just asked me to come up with a "realistic" schedule for this project, working with the senior software person who is "overseeing" the work. The original schedule has the software code being implemented and finished by ~March 2015. My boss already believes that that will probably push out to later in the year. I need to deliver our "realistic" schedule by the end of the week.

Here's the thing... I'm pregnant. I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and wasn't planning on telling anyone at work until at LEAST 14 weeks (which is roughly when we'll be telling our family). I'm due in December and plan to take 12 weeks off. Obviously if I'm the only full-time software engineer on this project, this will be a MAJOR impact to the schedule!

I don't know what to do! Advice please????
