We've been casually potty training. DD shows a lot of readiness. Always tells me when she goes, asks for a change after wetting her diaper, curiosity when I use the bathroom, etc.

Until yesterday, she'd go on the potty if we timed things right. Now she's holding her bladder until she's clearly uncomfortable. She's refusing to use the potty, that's fine, but also refusing to go in her diaper. She had a wet diaper at wakeup, went pant/diaper free all morning, refused to sit on the potty and finally sprung a leak at one. I figured she'd let the rest go during her nap, but she woke up dry. I kept her in a diaper for the afternoon thinking she'd relax a little more. She sprung a leak again around four but finished on the potty. She was dry until bedtime and then overnight had a much smaller diaper than I expected. Repeat this morning.

Finally I ran a bath because I could tell she didn't feel good. No potty, no diaper! In the tub she goes and starts peeing. And crying "No pee!" "Gross!"

Did your toddler have an aversion to using the bathroom like this? I don't want to continue potty training right now if it's going to cause anxiety for her. But I don't know how to go back to diapers because she's resisting those too.

Help!

P.s. sorry for run on sentences about pee.
