So, we're writing up budget scenarios and figuring out different situations for what we're going to have to do with C when we get home. DH (hopefully) will be working full time, plus he will be in the reserves. I will be a full-time student come August. C will be 2.

I've been researching childcare in both the area around our house and the area around my university. It seems most of the more affordable options for us are religiously affiliated and teach some kind of religious curriculum/attend service. So far, Ive seen Christian, Lutheran, Methodist and "Evangelical" (not sure exactly what that one means). Our area gets sketchy REALLY fast depending on which direction you drive, and there are a lot of shady daycares around... so it really narrows the local pool. My university is in a more well-off area and most of them out there are more expensive.

I'm trying to decide if it bothers me to send her to one of these. I went to a Methodist preschool as a kid and DH went to Catholic school until high school, and I don't really think it did us any lasting harm. I just feel pretty strongly in my distaste for organized religion. I'm somewhere in the agnostic/humanist realm, DH is atheist.
