Last year LO took about 4 field trips, but this year they said they won't take any unless they are within walking distance, which I'm not sure where they could even go that is within walking distance from the school...that would be educational haha! I enjoyed taking trips with LO last year and getting to know the teachers/parents/kids a little bit better, so it's a bit of a bummer!

They only do two. One we just did yesterday and there's another in spring I'm pretty sure.

Only 1, and it was cut short. It was also only a walking field trip. Kind of a bummer.

Only walking but I've yet to hear of one. I'm also not sure where they would go. I'm ok with it. I'd rather not have to take a day off to chaparone some place more exciting.

Are you taking about DCP age? If so, then only during summer session and only if you were 4 or older.
I much prefer no trips at a young age

In preschool, there was really no need for field trips as the school was on the grounds of a nature center. There were trails, a small pond, animal rescue hall, playgrounds, etc.
Now in public school, in Kindergarten, they do one or two per year. I personally would prefer that they don't do them at all.

LO didn't have any field trips in preschool, but they often went out to the creek and took small trips within walking distance. He is in Kindergarten now and will have his first field trip later this month, and he is very excited.

Her preschool does a few a year- some walking (the fire and police station is right there) some in a big yellow school bus. Parents are welcome to but not required to chaperone.
The school bus actually makes me a little nervous. I'm sure it's fine but 3 is so young to to sit on a bus. I will chaperone the first one so I can see how it is- parents ride the bus with the kids, no driving.
