@kml636: It's not too late if you still want to start!

@kodybear: How adorable that she says muah for kisses I get that it would be hard not to go back in, scoop her up and cover her in them though!
LO has also started kissing her toys and pictures in books. It is super cute (but tends to leave drool on everything!).

@kml636: I agree never too late to start. Mine is just now using all done.

We have 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom. He is a slow teether. He isn't walking un-assisted yet. I think he can but he is scared. He has started doing the hold on to the couch with one hand and move to the table. So I would think he'll be walking in the next couple of weeks. He is finally crawling on all four and not inch worming on his belly. He is really fast at crawling now. He has also started fighting us while trying to change his diaper. He wants down and I try everything to distract him from singing, to him holding objects to scolding. Nothing seems to work. Can't wait to get past this stage of diaper changing!

@turkeylurkey: kind of sounds like we have the same baby! she has 6 teeth, isn't walking unassisted, and finally started crawling on all fours at 11 months!! i give LO something to play with to distract her from squirming during diaper changes. it works 75% of the time. the other 25% i just let her play naked for alittle bit, then put it back on (as fast as i can!) but we deal with distracted diaper changes too

@kodybear: That's an idea... play naked for a bit. What's weird is he doesn't do this at daycare. He just lays there patiently while they change him. What's up with that? And so it begins of testing the waters with Mom and Dad I guess??

In the last few weeks Ellora has become a little chatterbox! Some are more hit or miss that she will use them correctly, but she will pull out her book on cows and say, "cow". She turns to the page in her book of animals with a dog and says, "puppy!" (her favorite word). She learned "buckle" yesterday because she is obsessed with the buckle on her car seat and highchair, and this weekend we practiced "thank you" (taaaank youuu).
It is crazy!! I cannot believe how quickly she is picking up words and how fast she goes from making a noise like the word to saying it and other people understanding.
Unfortunately she has already learned "No!" While shaking her head or even using her hands to shake no in front of her. Here we go!

@lindseykaye: ah! Exciting. I loved that video on IG of her saying puppy.

C is not saying much beyond mama and dada, but it seems like she really wants to. I am trying to work with her every night to practice.some first words like dog, cat, ball, etc.

@lindseykaye: awww that's so sweet! She's very advanced with her speech!

We have a few words; mama, dad, hello, that, yes and she'a really trying to say balloon, ha ha - we still have some up from her birthday party and she LOVES them! She's walking now too and just got the all clear in her most recent hip x-ray too. The next one is key in terms of growth, apparently, but she's doing awesome!

E still isn't walking. I think he can he's just scared. But he too has become quite the talker! Yesterday getting out of the car I asked if he wanted to see his friend Hunter and he said his name! I was shocked! We also think he is saying dog, kitty, yeah... still no momma! oh well! LOL
Got his school pictures last night and my oh my how grown-up he looks! He doesn't look like a baby!

when your babies learn new words, are they using them consistently? for some reason it seems like when LO learns new words, she'll be consistent about using the word for like 2 weeks, and then she'll just stop all of a sudden. it always makes me question whether she knew it in the first place, but she would use it in the right context repeatedly. so i don't know if she just gets bored of using the words? she also did this with signing too. maybe my expectations are too high? hah

@turkeylurkey: L isn't walking either. She will play with her push cart and has gotten really wild pushing it around the room but if we try to get her to let go, she sits. I'm sure it will happen soon enough though!

@travelgirl1: So glad she did well on her xray!

@kodybear: L seems to do that too. For awhile she said turtle 100 times a day, now she never says it. ????
