    @AprilFool: I have found I have less ewcm these cycles as well, but still many days of watery - so who knows what is going on!

    Agree with generally keeping it on the down low this time but if people ask I'll probably tell them. But that's because they are most likely the type who would be close enough to confide in if things went pear shaped!

    Happy holidays to you! I've spotted some great deals to Hawaii but unfortunately not on the cards for us this year! 😭

    @Nutella: I had 5 days of ew the last two cycles so of course this one has to be different It's just trying to mess with my zen attitude!

    thanks for the support, ladies still too scared to let myself get excited, but my OB being totally matter-of-fact made me feel better.

    @pwnstar: I totally understand how frequent testing could take the anxiety out of it--if you make it habitual, it's so much less of a big deal. love that you are allowing yourself as much or as little as you need

    @kathrynelizabeth828: welcome!

    @marley: @nutella: I'm on the fence about whether or not to ask for beta testing--surprised to say I'm leaning towards not doing it. did yall do it with your LO's? (marley, was yours too late to even bother? ) I think it might worry me to death, plus my beta levels were amazing with my missed miscarriage, so what's the point? or is there a point? anyone who has done them, I'd love to get your thoughts.

    @MrsChickPea yes, traffic strategy is now all anyone talks about! my brother and SIL just got a house off Robert E Lee so I guess I can walk there. my nightmare is having to fly home during the 30% of the year where it costs $850 because of the endless festivals. but I live in Brooklyn now where I am one of the yuppies that the lifers complain about gentrifying their Italian neighborhood, so I suppose I'm part of the machine do you live south or north?

    @flowergarden thanks lady! only started really feeling anything today (4w2d)--woke to an awful headache and light nausea. I do get the cramps you described during LP, but mine seem to be more often on the left side, very low down. I got them both on cycles with BFP and cycles with negatives, and cannot discern what's what. also only started noticing it after ttc.

    @Silva: what CD are you now? I remember my OB saying that she only would be concerned if didn't come for over 6 weeks, then her partner (who performed my D&C) said 8 weeks. the limbo is awful. I'm sorry you're still in it

    @LCTBQE: I've never had beta testing. I've never even heard about it until recently, on the October thread actually. Yeah, by the time I found out I was pregnant last time, there was already a heart beat, lol. so happy for you!

  7. Nutella

    persimmon / 1045 posts

    @LCTBQE: blood testing isn't the normal thing here, I didn't even know about it until I read it on hb! Some doctors don't even do it for the first appointment - you just do a wee test and then wait for an ultrasound! I didn't even know what dpo I was by the time I got mine for my LO, but I remember calling & they were like oh yeah it's a good strong number - & that was that. I am on the fence about getting repeated done next time I do get pregnant - I feel like it would be a nice comfort to see they are going up accordingly! But they might not even agree to it!

    How are you feeling anyway? Symptoms? Yay!!

    @LCTBQE: I've never had beta testing either (even as an older mama the first time around). At my first OB appointment for my first pregnancy (they wouldn't see me until 8 weeks), I peed in a cup and had a dating u/s. I had blood tests later for other things, but none for betas (at least of which I am aware).

    @Silva: Waiting sucks. And there is so much stinkin' waiting in this process.

    @LCTBQE: I live really south! We just bought in north Buda, so right on the county lines! We wanted more land and paid the same for an updated older home with 3/4 acre then we would in Austin for the same price it's so so expensive to live here now! At least compared to what it used to I used to live near Wall Street in NYC for some college so I do commiserate wth the NYC/Brooklyn costs lol. DH and I went to NYC for our honeymoon and stayed in BedStuy near Williamsburg. It made me really miss living there and not driving haha!

    @Marley@pwnstar@LCTBQE: Good ideas on the cramping! Glad it can mean pregnancy and not that AF is just coming for sure!
    @jojogirl: Good call on paleo -- I've had a few friends trying for years who got preg first round gluten free (after multiple miscarriages). I think food is often the best medicine! Jealous you are going to Costa Rica! We almost went there for our honeymoon but decided on Montreal.

    @LCTBQE: Try putting plenty of lemon in your water for nausea? Heard that helps...and it's easy to do!

    Getting a facial and pedi today Excited!

    @flowergarden: Yeah!!! It's weird. It took us 6 months to conceive LO #1, then I did this paleo challenge with my gym in June and got pregnant crazy easy (first cycle trying with only one BD during the fertile period). now I wonder if they were related?! This is another gym challenge but I'm hoping it'll help fertility too Love hearing stories like that!

    @pwnstar: haha!

    Cycle Day: 14
    TTC Cycle #: 5
    Ovulation & POAS date: not sure but hoping to O this week, POAS would be 11/17
    Baby #: 2
    Your plan this month: well this is my "fertile week" and dh was gone from mon and comes back late thurs night. We dtd early Monday before he left and will dtd Friday. I haven't gotten a + opk yet so I'm hoping to get it in the next couple of days and then we can dtd a few times

    I am temping and using opk's

    We also have an apt with fertility specialists on 11/10. Not sure what will come of that but with my advanced age (38 soon to be 39) we want to get help sooner if needed.
    For Fun: What are you thankful for this year? my wonderfully fun, loving DD who will turn 2 on 11/15

  27. Kitkat

    So I think I finally ovulated yesterday! I had a temp dip yesterday, then I big rise today. If I did ovulate, it would be the same day as last cycle...yay for consistency! #SmallVictories we also timed BDing really well, so fingers crossed.

    @mrschickpea: can you please update my O date to 11/3 and POAS to 11/17 next time you update the list?

    You all are inspiring me to get more serious about Paleo. I'd say I eat Paleo 50-75% of the time. I used to be way better about it...need to get back on that bandwagon!

    @Ajsmommy: Welcome! Our first month, hubs was overseas for a week and totally missed the window. And this month, he happened to still be in town just in time to catch it, even though it meant dtd suuuuper early the morning he flew out.

    Cycle Day: 14
    TTC Cycle #: 4
    Ovulation & POAS date: TBD
    Baby #: 2. I have a 1.5 yr old DD.
    Your plan this month: cbefm and opks and maybe temping. My cycles have been wonky since AF returned postpartum.
    For Fun: What are you thankful for this year? Health and my family.

    So like last month I don't know what's going on with my cycle. In Oct. I think I Oed on CD 23 or 24? This month I started getting Highs on my cbefm from CD 11?? I'm on my 4th day of High today. Not sure what to think.

    Hi everyone!
    Cycle day: 23
    TTC cycle: 4 post m/c in May
    Ovu and POAs days: 10/27 and 11/11
    Baby: #2, D's is 3
    My plan this month: nothing, after feeling anxious with temping, charting, acupuncture, I'm taking a break and having fun!
    For fun what are you thankful for: cooler temps in the desert! We can finally wear long sleeves!

  39. MrsB2012

    nectarine / 2466 posts

    @KathrynElizabeth828: sorry to hear that Do you have shorter cycles? Will you get to another cycle in this month?

    @Kitkat: yay for consistency!

    @tiramisu: It's so annoying trying to figure out PP cycles. Are you still BF'ing? I've had 3 PP cycles this time, so far it's looking like this cycle will be similar to last cycle. My first one I only had a 7 day luteal phase then last one was 15 days. Hopefully this month it's a longer luteal phase again.

    @OldpuebloJenn: Good luck this month! I'm also glad that it's cool now, I much prefer sweater weather haha.

    I had a very positive OPK again today, but I also had a huge temp spike this morning. I don't usually have 2 days of positive OPK's so I'm anxious to get crosshairs and see what's going on.

  40. tiramisu

    apricot / 409 posts

    @Kitkat: Yay for ovulation, consistency and good BD timing!

    @OldpuebloJenn: welcome! Good luck!

    @MrsB2012: I just stopped BFing last month. I think I've had 6 PP cycles so I thought things would regulate by now, but every month has been different. I hear you on the short luteal phase. That's great you had a 15 day one last cycle tho! Mine has varied from 9 to 12 days. Last cycle I started spotting 6 dpo then got AF 9dpo. Super short. Ugh. Anyway, hmm maybe the 1st OPK just caught your surge super early so it picked it up for 2 days?
