I've been bit by the baby bug again. This time though I am only 3months post partum... What is wrong with me!? When did you start wanting another baby? How soon after did you actually start trying?

Like the day we got home from the hospital ;) we got out of the car and both said,"that wasn't so bad, let's have another" we agreed to wait several months to discuss it again, at which point I got cold feet for a little while...then the baby rabies started again! We are trying now at 11 months post baby #1.
We are both 4-5 years older than our siblings, and want ours closer together.

I was ready right after I stopped feeling the pain from my tearing.
But I could never handle being pregnant with an infant. I get crazy bad migraines when I'm pregnant, like I'm stuck on th couch for a month straight and can't lift my head...... So I have to wait for lo to be more independent. She's 17 months and just now starting to walk, but still doesn't play by herself or watch any tv. So we still have a few months at least.

The week after we had LO #1 I was totally bit, and still am. We'd be trying already if I didn't need to go back to work and work enough hours for a mat leave. We will start trying this summer!!!

I got fever when Lo was five months old or so.
We are NTNP at 7 months. -
I got the fever 6 maths pop, we will TTC # 2 in the spring, LO will be 1 by then.

I got the fever in my recovery room! :-) We wanted to TTC in December but got pregnant in August.

I can't wait to have another baby, but we agreed to enjoy LO for a while and then try. She will be 1 at the end of August, so sometime after that we will try again :) Could be that month, could be 6 months after that. No set time as of now.

I got it about 8 months pp but I think DH is too scared to try just yet. Ha! I keep reminding him that if he thinks he'll be ready again in a year, then we better start trying. He he

i never got the fever! it was a decision based on wanting them close together in age.

LO is almost 8 months old and the thought of being pregnant again makes me want to vomit. I am hoping baby fever comes back when LO is 12-18 months old, if not it will be a conscious decision to have another rather than a decision from my heart.

@MsMini: it is so nice to hear that I'm not the only one that it freaked by the idea of being pregnant again! I can't imagine the fatigue of pregnancy/the newborn phase with an infant already at home. Definitely going to wait a while!

I don't feel it yet but I plan on trying when LO is 18m anyway. I want them to be close in age. -
13 months... They are 21 months apart.

It comes and goes. LO is 7 months old. Overall, I'm pretty ready for round 2. Not surprisingly, my baby fever seems to wane a bit when LO is going through a "no nap" stage :)

@Weagle: Hahaha soo true. the not napping phase is rough..
LO is 6.5 months old and I have baby fever. We are going to start trying in the Spring.

LO is 7 months old and I have no desire to start trying again. None. Zero. Zilch. I had a complicated pregnancy and LO still wakes at night (most nights) so that might have something to do with it.
I won't even entertain the thought until LO is a year old, but we'll probably wait until he's 18 months. My DH feels the exact same way. Gah, my stomach just dropped thinking there's less than 5 months to go until he is a year old.

I never had the fever for either! I guess I am just not a baby fever kind of person ;) When Wagon Jr. was nearing the age of 2 we decided we shouldn't have them too far apart so they could be friends, since we're probably only going to have 2. So we tried again and bam, LMW.

I'm 8 months post my first baby and I definitely do not have baby fever at this point

I've gotten bit again! I think this time around if not for not having health insurance till M is 1 I would tell my husband let's go! Haha

I can't wait to have another! LO is 4 months. He is so fun I think another would be SO much fun! I am lucky to have a very happy baby overall...that has contributed to the fever!!

LO is a little over 5 months old and we do not want another one right now. I have nightmares that my Mirena failed and I'm pregnant again. We're now about 50-50 with wanting another one ever but we would want LO to be about 3 when a second LO is born.

We had a REALLY rough start with P so it wasn't until she was around 5 months that I really considered having another... before that the only thing that kept me wanting more kids was getting to have another homebirth. lol
Now at 8 months I totally have the fever & DH is on-board with having the rest of our kids a couple years apart each. We've talked about starting to ttc for our next on our anniversary, when P is 1 year.

He's almost 6 months and I def have the fever but I don't want to be pregnant right now .....i feell that p is to young and it wouldn't be fair to him and I really want to thoroughly enjoy and focus on his babyhood. Don't wanna be sick with morning sickness and can't play with my baby. But I defffff have the fever so does dh. Maybe on a couple months... lol... idk

When LO was 10 months...coincidentally (or not) it was when he stopped waking up at night! We planned to wait until he was 1 though.

Around 7ish months for me. We want to wait for me to go back to work before getting pregnant again so that I can get my full year of maternity leave again

My LO is 8 months and I think I might be done. The thought of having another newborn makes me nauseous. I know it's only a short time, but it was not fun. That, plus having another c section and the fact he still doesn't sleep through the night, makes me feel like it'll be a looooong time before its even considered.

I got the fever around 4 months. I totally wouldn't mind being pregnant again or the delivery, and I really want them to be close in age. What I'm terrified of is the newborn stage and actually taking care of the baby lol, I can barely handle my one. But it's not smart for us right now. We still need to be better off financially, and get LO sleeping better! Then we will consider TTC for #2.

I'm sitting here thinking "Whaaaaaaaaaaaa?!" :) J is 6 months old and we're not planning for another few years. Most of ours is financial though, DH is a full-time student in a really intense program so it's just not in the cards for us for a while.
