I need your help! We just moved into our forever home this past weekend and I spilled olive oil on our BRAND NEW whitish granite. We have tried all cleaners and the ring will NOT come out. Anyone have a magic recipe of getting out this stain????

@Worrywart: My sister is in the granite business and I'll ask her, but the first thing that comes in mind is that the granite probably wasn't sealed properly. Granite is pretty sturdy and shouldn't absorb anything if sealed.
I found this link and it says granite should be re-sealed every 1-3 years. Also, there's a way to tell if your counters need to be sealed again. http://www.handyguyspodcast.com/1599/episode-123-granite-care/
ETA: I don't know much about granite, I just remember that my sister had granite installed a few years ago and my BIL told her to be careful because it wasn't sealed yet. Her granite has since been sealed.

Is it sealed? I spill all the time and it just wipes right up. I'd call the stone dealer/installer.

@Worrywart: Or if it was sealed properly, maybe it's time to be resealed. The link above that I posted said to re-seal granite every 1-3 years.

Are you sure it's not marble?
There are very very few white granites and marble is much more likely to stain. -
@Worrywart: Ok, my sister got back to me...
"Use acetone on the spot to remove the sealer. Then use poultice to remove the oil, may need to do this process a few times. Then use a sealer to seal the spot. Home Depot sells all these products over the counter. I don't know how well the poultice will remove the oil ring but that's the process to try."

@oliviaoblivia: Yep, it's granite. It's more like whitish/gray with speckles of other colors in it.

Oh no!
We have white granite (Kashmir White), and it wasn't sealed properly when we got it either. After lots of google research, I found out white granite is VERY porous, and I think fabricators end up treating it like dark granite, which is not porous at all, and the sealer they use just isn't enough to do the job.
Look up poultices. They are supposed to help draw things like oil stains out of the stone.
After you get the stain out. You're going to want to do some heavy duty sealing. We ended up using DryTreat products. They are expensive, but their customer service was AMAZING. They guy totally held my hand (emailed me back and forth multiple times) through the whole process, and finally our granite is impervious to spills!
I think DryTreat has a poultice cleaner, so you might want to look there for that too.
ETA: We did the sealing of our granite two years ago, and it's just now starting to show that it's sucking in water again, so like pp said, it's going to be a 2-3 year maintenance job for us. I think this is just the way white granite goes
