This means taking all shoes into account. Flip flops, sneakers, boots, flats, heels, slippers, etc!
I would say that I spend on average $30-$40 on a pair of shoes

No more than $80, unless they are boots or special occassion shoes. Heck, the shoes I wore to my wedding were $19.99!

@looch: My flats I wore for our reception were on clearance for like $9!

Max - $100, but I try to keep it lower. I'll spend that much on comfy tennis shoes (sneakers?) though.

I really never spend that much on a paid of shoes, but I think I'm breaking down and going to a running store to get fitted for a nice pair of running shoes. I'm assuming I'm going to be paying out of my butt for them!

That's a tough question... I recently bought a pair of boots for £200 and a pair of flip flops for £5.. I guess the average would be about £30.

On average? Probably $30 or $40.
Sandals/flip-flops, maybe $20.
Boots, around $50 to $75.
Dress shoes, maybe $40 or $50.
Running sneakers, $70 to $100.
I generally try to buy shoes on sale.

$50 - $100 depending on the shoe. I buy shoes once in a blue moon and am a firm believer in buying quality shoes when I do buy them.
