I got my first pardum period on March 24th after nursing for nine months. My periods before use to be on average 26 days so slightly shorter than an average woman. Im sitting on day 30 now and trying not to panic. Since this is only my second period in close to two years (pregnancy and nursing) would my cycle change this much? I would be thrilled to have longer cycles than 26 days but not sure what is going on right now

@Mrs. Chocolate: I don't have any specific advice but I'm still bf'ing my toddler and I'm now on about day 45 of my third cycle with no AF in sight! Prior to pregnancy my cycles were 30-32 days but my first two pp cycles were 30 and 42 days so maybe my body is still trying to regulate?

My cycles definitely changed after pregnancy. They were all over the place prior to pregnancy with cycles as long as 45 days at times. Once I got pregnant and miscarried twice, then had DS, my cycles are now clockwork 30 days.
Are you still nursing, or did you stop? If you're still nursing here and there, that can also screw up your schedule!

yeah it took a long time for my post parum periods to to get regular. I'm on my 8th one and it's still not exactly predictable like it was pre baby.

I think its normal - my PP periods were all over the place! 26 days then 33 days then 28 days then 45 days...... drove me crazy!!!

I hope so. We had an oops which is why im a little paniced. I don't remember what my cycle was like after my sons birth and nursing was done

Mine went back to 28 days. But it took 2 cycles for my periods to go back to normal.

@Mrs. Chocolate: Can you try a cheapie test just to be 100% sure?
After nursing, it took me a few months to get my period back, and I was initially at 45 days, then 40, then 35, then clockwork 30. So it definitely did take my body some time to regulate!

My first and second periods pp were 28 days apart, then second and third were more like 32-35 days apart...I think it just takes a few months to regulate. The last few have been 28 days apart.

My PP periods took a few cycles to regulate - 38, 28, 40, 33, 32 days...

I had a warning period at 8 months pp, it was short, like 2 days. Then I went about 40 days before my next period. After tgat they were regular.

My cycles took a while to regulate. My first cycle postpartum was 43 days, the second was 36, and I got knocked up on the third.
Pre-pregnancy, my cycles were 28 days.

I got my first 14 month pp. They are still all over the place. This will be my 3rd or 4th? and it's late. I took way too many pregnancy tests before and now I am just realizing it is irregular and I don't need to waste the money taking tests!
