My friend is going through her second round of ivf. They transferred 2 embryos, and she started testing yesterday (11dpo). These are her tests, top is a curved frer and the bottom two are rapid results tests. Digitals are coming up negative. Thoughts? She is the equivalent of 12 dpo today.

@avivoca: I definitely see lines, but the digital sate negative, so wondering if people think she should be getting darker lines and turning a digi by now

@avivoca: Ditto. I could never get a digi to show positive (but I also didn't buy any more once my FRERs were showing dark pink 2nd lines)

I see lines for all 3 and 7dpo isn't even a squinter. I never used digital tests because my friend told me they were never reliable for her. Fingers crossed for your friend!

They are getting progressively darker, which is a good sign. I think it's too early to tell if it's going to stick with such a light positive, but there's also no reason to think it won't!

Lines are there! Might be too early for a digital. I've never had a positive on a digital until at least 14DPO.

Looks positive for sure. IVF pregnancies can be tough to gauge at the beginning because it may not have had as much time to implant as a non-ivf by 12dpo.

Her beta came back at 30, so they told her they are "cautiously optimistic". She goes back Thursday for a repeat beta.

her beta came back only 37 two days later. She goes for a follow up tomorrow just to be sure, but they are pretty certain it's a chemical pregnancy.

Numbers came back at 169 today, so doubling appropriately but still very low for as far along as she is. Not sure if it's ectopic, going for an ultrasound on Thursday.

Just updating in case anyone is interested: my friend is now measuring 8w6d with a seemingly healthy baby! Who knows why it got off to such a slow start, even the RE did not have high hopes, but it is looking good!

@simplyfelicity: seemingly so! She is 12 weeks today, and goes for her ultrasound and test results on Friday. I'll update after that

Old thread, but I realized that I never updated! My friend's results all came back normal, as did her 16 week testing for neural tube defects. She went in for her 20 week anatomy scan and was blindsided because her baby has severe spina bifida and abnormal kidneys (amongst other things). Several doctors suggested she terminate, but she wanted to give the baby a chance, and she is almost 31 weeks now. The last two weeks the baby has had very low fluid, because her kidneys aren't working properly, but the baby is not in distress, so they aren't delivering yet. There are a lot of unknowns, and wait for the baby to be born before they can come up with a plan of action.

@LAZB: Oh no! I hope everything ends up the best case scenario. Do they think she will need to deliver soon because of the low fluid?

@MrsKoala: they are monitoring her weekly, and just seeing how she does. Her level last week was a 3 (apparently usually 5 is cutoff for delivery), but they said as long as baby isn't in distress, they will let her stay in.
