I'm just wondering if it would've possible to still hide a baby bump at20 weeks? I know everyone grows at different rates but at 20 weeks are you mostly not able to hide it? Also does anyone have any good bump hiding tips?

I think it really depends on the person. As you can see on the bump love thread people pop so differently. I was 20 weeks last week and there is NO WAY I could of hidden my bump. Anything that hugs the bump will show it off more. If you wore a loose top you could maybe just look tubby.
Why would you want to hide your bump at 20 weeks? Work issues?

@sea_bass: no, fortunately my bosses work in a different state so that wouldn't be a problem. I was actually playing with different dates and I found the perfect date to do a really cool reveal where no one would suspect anything but if I got pregnant (long shot) I would be 20 weeks at the time.
Well and seeing my mom every Sunday at church is going to make it really really hard to hide it...

I had customers not know that I was pregnant a few weeks before I went out on leave. It depends on your pre-preg body, how the baby is positioned, and how much weight you gain. I was plus-sized, and lost weight for the majority of my pregnancy. Plus, I wasn't carrying high. I interviewed for a job at 21 weeks and didn't look pregnant.

@anonysquire: If there is one thing I know for sure, that's that is is IMPOSSIBLE to keep anything pregnancy related from ones mother. She will sniff it out. They have a highly developed six sense. Its scary.
What is the date and reveal?

@sea_bass: I can't go into too much detail online because my inlaws stalk this site. Just a significant date obviously wishful thinking because its taking me like 10 years to get pregnant.

I hid my pregnancy at work until about 8 weeks out. I popped very low and wore really baggy clothes.

I was pretty obviously pregnant at 20 weeks. I think this was right around then, give or take a week or so.

@anonysquire: People could tell I was pregnant by about 10 weeks. I dread to think how I'll look at 20!!! But people pop at different times so you might be alright....

Like others said I think it's so dependent on pre preg size/build. I'm tall (5'10) and had a decently strong core so I think that helped hold it in for longer? Here I am at 20 and I think I could have hid it if I dressed differently?

Obviously it depends on the person, everyone has a different body and grows differently. But I watch that show secretly pregnant and some people manage to hide pregnancies into their third trimester from their parents while living with them.
But also keep in mind your family will probably want to be in the know before 20 weeks. Yes its fun to have a cute reveal, but I know my mom would get kind of upset if I hadn't shared the news with her sooner.

I definitely could have hid it at 20 weeks. I lost weight until I was 16 weeks so I think by 20 weeks I was just getting back to my pre pregnancy weight. But I have friends who never could have hid it at 20 weeks. You just never know.

In the early months, people thought I had just stopped working out. But at 20 weeks, there was a definite bump.

I vote maybe. I easily camouflaged my bump at 20 wks. I'm tall and lean and in a slightly baggy shirt, no one knew I was pregnant then. But other friends with similar builds had obvious bumps then!
I second the notion that it could be hard to conceal it even if you aren't showing...we waited until 13 wks to tell anyone, and it was hard to keep mum.

Thanks everyone for the pics and stories. So what I'm understanding is maybe if I'm lucky I'll still be able to hide it at 20 weeks but not that long from my mom. Good to know! And for the record, my inlaws are very crazy! It's not a normal person who can find my profile on a site...

@anonysquire: I think it was a lot to do with your height/weight and fitness level. If you are tall or have a little bit of extra padding or have very toned abs, you would be able to hide it a little easier. I had JUST started showing at that point. I am fairly tall (5'7) and I am on the curvy side, so I just kind of look like I ate too many cupcakes for a long time.

I'm 5'11" and have a long torso. I think I could have hidden it if I tried, but it was definitely obvious in tighter clothing at 20 weeks.

I think people started asking me right around 18 weeks. I think I could have hid it better, but I tend to wear more form fitting clothes.

Not for me. I'm 5'11" and in good shape...there was no sucking this in. Especially from someone who knows me. Wearing very flowy tops would have been kind of a giveaway, too.

I don't have a picture since I'm on my phone but I believe I could've hidden it. I'm just a bit taller than you and thin so I guess it really depends on your body.

I'm at 16 weeks, and I can sort of hide it now (meaning, my students haven't asked and the public doesn't ask), but I *definitely* look like I'm getting "fat".
The things that cover the bump BEST are wearing layers (easy to do here in winter), like a long tunic shirt with a cardigan over, PLUS I always wear a long scarf that hangs down to my waist in the front--if the cardigan isn't the fitted kind, I end up just looking really pudgy rather than pregnant.
I feel like my stomach is absolutely HUGE when I wear fitted shirts, but I do have coworkers (who've had kids previously and are older, but not currently pregnant) who have bigger guts than I have pregnancy belly, so even though it seems super obvious to me, it probably isn't to other people.
For reference, at 16 weeks, I'm as big as a lot of the bump pictures in this thread are at 20 weeks!

I think I could have hidden it with certain clothing, but I think those close to me (ie family) would have had suspicions.

Like PPs have said, it's totally dependent on your body type and how you carry.
I'm 5'10" with a long torso and a strong core (according to my midwife, anyway). I definitely got away with most people not knowing I was pregnant at 20 weeks, but anyone who knew me well probably would have noticed, or at least would have thought that I'd gained weight!

It was funny, people I knew could guess by five weeks because my face got all chubby and it was obvious something was going on, but with strangers (and by wearing the right floaty top) I could hide it for ages, because they weren't used to the new fat all over me. I had a job interview at 22 weeks, and had to have three interviews for it - no one guessed!

For me, I think people just thought I was gaining a lot of weight. It was never super obvious I was pregnant until I was like 25 weeks.

I think this was about 19 weeks and 22 weeks with 2. There is zero chance I could have hidden it when either of these was taken. I'm 5'7", have a short torso, & had a little pre-preg chub. It really depends on what you're body type is, when you pop, and what you're wearing. I think slightly looser clothes and lots of flowey layers would help.

I think I could have, I was still in non-maternity pants at that point. I'm 5'7" with a long torso and strong abs (at least I used to have strong abs...)

At 20 weeks I had a slight bump, the next week is when I really popped out.
