@Mrs.Pinecone316: @mrswin: Just wanted to drop by and say that I am SO VERY excited for you both...and can't wait to hear stories and see cute baby pics!!! BTW--- feeling nervous is completely normal...but you've got this!

@marionberry: That's just over 2 weeks away!!! So very exciting!

We are almost there ladies!! Almost 34 weeks here and ready for baby girl because I've had a rough painful pregnancy! But I still have so much to get ready so in that sense, I'm not ready! I need to hurry up. We finally chose a name last week so that's good. So excited for you all!!

@Jenn23: I'm sorry you've had a painful pregnancy. So excited for all of us April Mamas as we near the finish line.
@FliegepilzHut: Yes I'm so excited and ready to meet these boys. Twin pregnancies are rough at the end - I'm beat!

@mrswin: That would be tough, dealing with work and a move! how much time are you taking off after the baby is here? So excited to find out if its a boy or girl! Any intuitions while being team green?

@FliegepilzHut: How are you feeling these days??

@Jenn23: Sorry it has been rough:( Must be hard especially taking care of another little one at home too.

@marionberry: I am so happy with how far you have made it with these twins! So amazing.. just a couple more weeks!! EEEKKKK. I am just wondering if mine will come early, late or on time. When I think about how people deliver at 37 weeks all the time it really makes me feel the rush to get everything done in the next couple weeks.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Yes isn't it amazing that your baby can come any day now?! It's kind of a fun surprise wondering when the big day will be. I had a scheduled c-section with ds1 ans now I have one scheduled for the twins but I'd like to go into labor first just so I can experience that surprise too.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Pretty good! My abs are finally giving up the ghost...just in the last week I've become decidedly more bump-y! Still waiting to feel the little guy move, though... Remind me: are you expecting a or a ?

@marionberry: I bet you're beat! Can't wait to hear all about your boys very soon!

@mrswin: @Mrs.Pinecone316: @marionberry: @Jenn23: time went by so quickly! I'm excited for all of you!

@FliegepilzHut: yay for having more of a bump! That's when all the special treatment comes in!

We finally started purchasing the larger items for our baby so it's starting to feel even more real. I'm in shock with how big my belly is. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be carrying twins! Kudos to @marionberry: for still being in there with the twins!

I'm also excited that I only have 2 more weeks of work left before I start my maternity leave. I have so much time accrued that I have to take the week before disability kicks in so that I won't lose some of my PTO. I guess that's one way of looking at a positive of IF, being prepared with so much PTO due to the lengthy time to become pregnant.

@lazypanda: Congrats on having the extra time off! I am really surprised I've gone 36 weeks without bed rest with these twins but I would trade it in a heartbeat to have time off before they get here. Take time to really relax, sleep in, go to a movie, and any other thing which will become very difficult once your baby is here.

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@lazypanda: Ooh..that sounds pretty good! Of course, I'm going to try to be discrete at work for a few more days! Congrats on being so close to your leave! That will be wonderful!!!

    18weeks today!

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@FliegepilzHut: How has that much time flown by already?! Maybe I missed this earlier, but are you finding out the sex??

  12. Mrs.Pinecone316

    persimmon / 1316 posts

@FliegepilzHut: I am having a girl!! I didn't really start feeling her until almost 19 weeks I think? You will love it when you do, it is the most reassuring thing ever knowing they are still in there are doing good!

@lazypanda: Having some time off before the baby is awesome! I got put on medical leave from work at 31 weeks. I am a nurse and was just getting too hard so its been amazing being off. Unfortunately though IF drained my sicktime/vacation time so that part is crappy because I will have some unpaid time once baby is here before I go back to work.

  13. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@marionberry: thanks! How much time will you be off for maternity leave with the twins?

@FliegepilzHut: yay for getting to week 18! I thought I felt baby at 15/16 weeks & my OB had said it was too early. My acupuncturist said it was plausible because I had become so attuned with my body then. With that being said, the first time DH felt the kicks was amazing. Now, she kicks so much that I can't sleep properly, but I'm still grateful for being pregnant.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I'll be 34 weeks along when I stop working, state law allows women to go on maternity disability 4 weeks prior to their due date. I work in a locked clinic facility & the medical & non medical staff are always politely scolding me for not putting my feet up during the day! But it's definitely getti increasingly harder for me to do so much walking as my feet are like sausages popping out of my flats by mid morning! Boo, for IF having drained your PTO but I'm glad you were able to have an extended period of time to relax ahead of time. How long will you be on leave for?

  14. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@lazypanda: I think a fair number of people do feel their babies that early...but most of them are second-timers! How far along we're you when your DH started to feel the kicks?

  15. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@lazypanda: I only have about 9 weeks of pto, so that's all I'm planning on taking. It won't be enough but hopefully I can get the twins on a schedule pretty quickly. My feet are very swollen and I'm still working at 36 weeks. It's rough. I wish my provider would put me on bed rest lol!

  16. Mrs.Pinecone316

    persimmon / 1316 posts

@lazypanda: I will probably go back when the baby is 16 weeks. About a month of that will be unpaid.

  17. mrswin

    nectarine / 2433 posts

@marionberry: I have been trying to take this approach the last couple of days. I am getting as much done as I can but the reality is that there will probably been stuff I can't get to.

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks! I am getting excited too, there will be quite a few new babies on this thread in a few weeks I can't believe you are almost half way through! I started too feel the baby around 21 weeks, just flutters at that point. K felt the baby for the first time a couple of weeks after that.

@Jenn23: I'm sorry your pregnancy has been rough. Congrats on picking a name!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: We are slowly making our way through unpacking and it has been hard but moving meant getting a 3 bedroom townhouse (1,750 sf) for only $200 more than we were paying for a 1+ condo (650 sf) so I am thrilled that we decided to do it now. I am in Canada and can take up to a year of leave but the plan is for me to return to work in September and for K to take the remaining time off. My gut says girl but we will know for sure in 5 weeks

    @lazypanda: Thanks!

@marionberry: Sorry, I missed this... We had early testing...(everything was normal) and we're having a boy! Are you starting to feel (even more) excited?

@Mrs.Pinecone316: How are you feeling with your due date approaching?

  19. Mrs.Pinecone316

    persimmon / 1316 posts

@FliegepilzHut: I am finally starting to get more excited and less fearful! We had an u/s yesterday and everything was looking great. Last thing we have to do is instal carseats which we will probably do today and then we should be ready for whenever she decides to make her appearance. My husband and went to BRU last night after date night and picked out her going home outfit:) It really is a strange feeling knowing it could really happen anytime and seeing the countdown on the app dwindle to the 3 weeks.

How are you feeling these days? Have you had your anatomy scan yet? Feeling movement now?

  20. FliegepilzHut

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@Mrs.Pinecone316: That's wonderful! Your baby girl will be here and in your arms before you know it!

My anatomy scan is in 3 days (19+5 by then)! Still not feeling movement, but the bump is growing and I'm learning to live with heartburn... Hoping for a great scan...and then DH and I are going to go enjoy his spring break together!

@FliegepilzHut: Congrats on your little boy! I'm a bit biased but they're really great! I'm so ready to not be pregnant (very uncomfortable) and very excited to meet them. Not so excited for the lack of sleep I'm in for lol...

    pomegranate / 3533 posts

@marionberry: Thanks! It'll be totally worth it, I'm sure! I can't wait to see all the cute baby pics!!!

@FliegepilzHut: Oh yay thats soon! I remember being so nervous for that, it was such a weight lifted off my shoulders after it was over and all was well. I felt like I could finally be really excited! Plus seeing your lo is always amazing;) hope it goes well.

@marionberry: I can't remember, you have a c-section date scheduled already right? When is that again?

  24. marionberry

@marionberry: You are so close to meeting your little ones! I feel like time has flown by especially these last couple of weeks

@FliegepilzHut: Good luck with your scan tomorrow! I have a very uncooperative baby when it comes to ultrasounds which means my appointments are always longer which means I get to see baby more And congrats on a little boy!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: We are installing our car seat today! I think I will feel better when that is done! Are you still working?

  27. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrswin: Yes the end always goes by so fast! I can't believe it's almost time!

@mrswin: I definitely commend anyone able to remain team green! Have you checked your pulses? My acupuncturist was spot on for guessing mine. also definitely super jealous of your year long maternity leave! Is it fully paid for the whole year?

@marionberry: amazing news! Time sure seems to have gone by really quickly. And hurray for the babies staying in there this long too!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: boo for unpaid leave but I'm glad you will have a nice break from work with your little girl!

@FliegepilzHut: good luck with your anatomy scan tomorrow! I had to come back a second time because my LO would not cooperate but it was a huge relief when they told me everything was fine. I can't believe its been 3 months since I've seen her in there!

I wonder how all the other recently preggo IF ladies are doing or if any other IF ladies have recently given birth.

@bluestriped bee: I'm so sorry! I was told that twin morning sickness is worse than with a singleton. I was just lucky that I never had any with my first and just didn't want to eat anything with the twins. How's the exhaustion? That's what killed me.

@mrswin: I've been out of work since 32 weeks which has been so nice! Working 12 hr night shifts on my feet the whole time were killing me.
