Should I be worried about this?
I got my first BFP at 12 dpo (Sunday night after a 4.5 hour hold), took another FRER Monday morning (13 dpo) and one this morning (15 dpo)
I feel like my tests aren't getting dark enough. The line showed up faster today, but it doesn't seem much darker.
Its the first time I've ever had a BFP, so I just don't know what is "normal". But I'm going for betas after school.

The color really doesn't matter. A positive is a positive. Mine never looked darker in the first week and I'm now 28 weeks.

I tested twice/day until like 20dpo bc I'm crazy. The line didn't get darker than the control line until like... 18dpo I think.

I kept retesting too and had the same worry but it really took awhile for the tests o get significantly darker- and sometimes they even seemed lighter but everything turned out great!

mine never got very dark and i stopped testing so as not to make myself crazy. congrats!!! good luck with the betas!

Darker doesn't mean more pregnant. It has to do with the amount of dye in the test. A line is a line!

Mine didn't get darker until around 18dpo. I had betas and they were totally fine. My ob said the lines don't get really dark until hcg is over 1000 and not to worry about it. "A line is a line". She also told me to stop peeing on sticks. Lol

@mrs scrapbook: home pregnancy tests are analog, which means they register a simple "yes" or "no" answer. In this case, a line is a line is a line. A line means you're pregnant, so congratulations!

Looks good to me honey! I understand how you feel though and you can always go for betas if you really feel nervous. I think you're going to be just fine though

@MrsMccarthy: Thank you! I'm going to get betas drawn after school today. The 9th period bell can't come fast enough. I know it will make me feel better, and otherwise I'll be nervous until 1/15, when I have my 8 week appointment!

Good luck with the betas. Mine started getting darker than the control, but only once I got to 16 dpo, and with FMU only. Congrats!!

Lines are lines!! I think mine didn't get really dark till 16 dpo and then I dumbly tested again at like 20+ dpo and the line got lighter! It seems that your hormone levels even out after a while and actually could dip which is normal.

@mrs scrapbook: Not bad! My first beta with my oldest was 11 and my first beta with my second daughter was a 13. Numbers mean nothing as long as they double.

@mrs scrapbook: My fingers are tightly crossed for you. I had a similar situation last month and it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. I had levels of 20 at 13dpo and 23 at 15dpo. I truly hope it is different for you! Much luck and positive thoughts headed your way.

Thank you everyone for being so nice. I didn't want to leave this thread hanging, but I don't think I have very good news. I started bleeding tonight. I'll get my second beta results on Monday, but I don't think it will be very positive.

@mrs scrapbook: I am very sorry to hear this. Bleeding can be very normal in early pregnancy. What were your first beta results? Fingers crossed for doubling betas!
