We got our BFP this month and BD 0-2, 0-1, 0, and 0+1 but I didn't temp (used CBEFM) so it might be off by one day. Fx for you!

from what i understand, it is much more important to BD in the days leading up to O, especially O-2, O-1, and the day of O, so it looks like you had perfect timing! Sperm can live in fertile cervical fluid for a few days, where your egg only lives 12-24 hours, so BDing the day after O is not *likely* to result in pregnancy. Not saying that its not possible, but it is definitely much more important to BD in the days leading up to O. Good luck in your TWW! I am in the TWW as well

@MamaMoose: well, that was the logic a few years ago...they thought you should give the sperm time to "build up". now I have heard that you should BD every day in the days leading up to O, IF your DH has a "normal" sperm count. If his sperm count is low, you want to BD every other day. This is just what I heard when researching this. It is entirely up to you how often you want to BD, some people get tired BDing every day, so every other day works better for them. I think I read 33% of pregnancies occurred from BDing every other day, while 37% occurred from BDing every day, so it is only increased by a little bit. If this cycle for us in unsuccessful, we will BD every other day to see if that helps.

@hilsy85: I totally get what you mean by the amount of sex and the swimmers at the end...we BD'd the 6 days before O and the day of O itself, and by the end I was like, how can there even be any swimmers left?! This cycle, we didn't want to miss O so we started early, but I was worried that by the time I actually O'd there was no sperm left lol...I know it is probably illogical...we Bd'd 24 hours apart which is a decent amount of time, but if we are unsuccessful this cycle I am going to wait until I get a positive OPK next time.

I just got a BFP and this month, we did something different. We only did the BD 3 days before, the day before, and the day after I O'ed. Good luck!
