What's the minimum freezing time for the bowl? I just got one, and put the bowl in at 10:30 am (our time.) The instructions say to freeze for 24 hours, but in your experience, can I get away with less than that? I want ice cream tonight!! lol

What if you split the amount into two bowls? Less volume=faster freeze. Or spread it thin onto a pan?

It's the bowl the machine comes with. It's like, metal on the inside, and it has to be frozen before you put all the ingredients in and start churning.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Well yeah, but if you scoop it out into a flatter surface, it'll freeze faster

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I feel like all day in the freezer should be enough ! Like throw it in now and when you get off work it should be plenty cold !

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I think our instructions said 6-24 hours so I say go for it! It might just take a little longer to churn. Mmmm... Now I want homemade ice cream too!

If you make the custard now, and put it in the fridge, that will help as well.
