The main thing for us is sick visits, the well visits are scheduled in advance, there are no surprises there.

Do you see your regular ped on sick visits, or is there a dedicated PA or doc that handles those? What is the procedure for coming into the office, do they have a walk in clinic available? What are the weekend hours?

Also, what other stuff is available through the office, such as sleep consultants, nutritionists, etc. Where do the docs have hospital priviledges?

Do they have an online portal, where you can request forms to be filled out, send emails to docs on non urgent questions, schedule appts?

Do they have same day sick appointments?

What are their evening and weekend hours?

What about questions/concerns after hours? How quickly does a doctor get back to you?

What is their policy regarding vaccines? Do they see kids that aren't vaccinated?
Are they opened to a modified vac schedule?

Do they round at your delivery hospital?

Is there a licensed LC on staff to help with BFing issues?

Do they do weight checks. You might not need them, but some offices offer weight checks just to make sure baby is gaining weight while breastfeeding. I wish my ped had offered that with my second because we had major nursing issues.
