We need a new thermometer ... our doc mentioned the forehead swipe ones aren't super accurate, but they seem to be really popular. We have a rectal thermometer we've used when LO has a high fever, but I need one for "normal" fevers.

I have a forehead one and it's too slow now that I have a wiggly toddler. I was at the doctor's office recently and they took my temp with an ear thermometer. It literally took 3 seconds for her to get my temp. I want to find something similar.

My ear one seems less accurate to me then the forehead one. But I bought the cheapest Walgreens brand and have a Braun temporal one. I always do the temporal one a couple of times and check mine if it seems off.

We have a braun forehead thermometer and love it! My 2 year old likes the color indicator lights and the beeps, and will sit still for it!

@Mrs. Pickle: we had it but we always seemed to be out of ear cover things when we needed them, and then one day lo2 put it in his mouth and it was off by a degree forever after that. Overall it was still good though, we were just not very good with it.
@Mrs. Microscope: same here with the color indicator, it seems good enough for at home use. ETA, and we've had it I think almost 4 years?? Definitely worth what we spent.
