We are going to Scottsdale w our 3 yo DS and 1 yo DD in mid February with two other families w toddlers. We are staying at a resort w pool etc but I'm looking for any other activities in case it's not warm or they become bored of the pool
I found the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park listed on TripAdvisor - should we go?

It is less of a drive than the one in downtown Phoenix and is supposed to be focused on birth-5. I have never been myself but my MIL has taken DD and said they had a blast!
Also the Phoenix zoo is not too far from Old Town Scottsdale and is fun, and I heard there is a new aquarium up in Scottsdale somewhere.
In February you probably can only swim if the pool is heated but it is possible the resort has that?
I have also heard good things about the railroad park but haven't been.

The railroad park is lots of fun! The zoo is also close by, as are the Botanic Garden and butterfly Pavilion.

@MamaCate: The new aquarium is right next to Butterfly Wonderland, just off the 101! It's called OdySea.
@ChitownRo: I live in Scottsdale, so I'd say the Phoenix Zoo or Children's Museum in downtown Phoenix. Mccormick-Stillman Railroad park is pretty nice. We took DS last year and he had a ball playing on the playgrounds there.

Thanks so much guys. This is very helpful. We are hoping for some freakishly warm days - but even 60s/70s will be nice compared to Chi. Finding a warm Zika free destination was a challenge

@ChitownRo: You're welcome! Low to mid 70's are are what's forecasted, and are so nice around here . I have a friend that lived here & moved back to Chicago and she misses the nice winter temps! LOL

My husband is from Scottsdale so we travel there a couple times a year. McCormick Railroad Park is great!! DD loves it and we go there a lot. Downtown Phoenix has a Children's Museum that is also great. We have spent a few hours there. Also go to the outdoor shopping centers, Kierland and Scottsdale Quarters. And don't miss In N Out Burger, my fav!! P.S. We live in Chicago too. Have fun!!
