I don't have receipts but they all have tags. Can I return at a store? All were gifts so I don't know if they are actually from Carter's or not.

don't know about the actual Carters store- but I know Kohls carries Carters and will return anything- anytime. ( I have returned wrong size clothes a few times) Maybe try there if returning to the Carters store doesn't work?

I've returned Carter's gifts to Carter's and BRU without a receipt.

Also, there are some Carter's items that are actually sold exclusively by Target. If that is the case you have to return at Target.

I have returned a ton of stuff without receipt. They let me know which ones were from their actual store and which weren't. I couldn't return the stuff that was from Target/Walmart, etc. But they let me know where each item was from.
You probably won't get full retail price if something has gone on clearance. But it's better than nothing.

Carter's will definitely take stuff back without a receipt, but only if it's sold from their store. But take everything back to your Carter's store, and they should be able to tell you where it was purchased (Kohl's, BRU, Target, etc). They can tell by the color of the tag.

I return a ton of stuff to Carter's without receipts and usually get a good amount of store credit. The register will tell them if it's not from their store and those are the only ones they won't take back (though my Carter's store couldn't tell me where it was from originally).

It also helps to know your gift-givers. For example, if it comes from my MIL and it's not from the Carter's store, then chances are very good it's from Kohl's. But if it comes from my step-sister, it's probably from Target. I can narrow a lot of things down that way.

We were team green and my cousin gifted us $150+ worth of Carter's girl clothes {with no gift receipt}. We took it back and received store credit with no problem.

i was able to return a bunch of stuff at carters without a receipt. there were a couple things from costco i wasn't able to return (costco comes with a black hanger, but if u don't have the hanger then the carters people would be able to tell you) if it says "just one you", thats from target so you can return it there. "child of mine" is from walmart.
