Do you think they would let me return something I no longer have a receipt for?
Bought them in Dec - so its been a long time (underwear) and I opened and tried 2 pairs and hate them - would love to return the rest!

Kinda doubt it because it's underwear. I would just donate to charity.

They would but they won't give you credit on the spot.. They mail it to you. It's sooo annoying! Plus they only give you whatever the current price is if it's on sale.

@Mamaof2: oh, I misunderstood then. I thought you said you opened and tried on two pairs.

How long is their return policy? I know Old Navy has shortened theirs to 45 days. I have a whole bag of crap in my car with tags on it that I didn't make it back to the store in time. So frustrating. It's summer clothes, they are still in season and could sell them!

I'd try it but don't tell them you bought them in December. They have a very short time that you can actually return (I think 30 or 45 days). And yes, as a pp mentioned, you will probably get a credit via mail instead of right there.

If you bought them on credit or debit I think they can look up the receipt and see how much you paid for them, but not sure they'll give you your money back since you're outside the return period.

@erinbaderin: yeah I don't want to do that cuz then they will know its been over 45 days! I know which one I used do I will have to give them a different one to "try" haha
off to see if this works!

@Autumnmama79: It worked out in my favor - I had used Gap cash to pay for some of it and since I didn't have my receipt I essentially got back what I paid AND the Gap cash - they are mailing me a gift card which is fine with me

@Mamaof2: nice to know! I have a pair of gap jeggings I bought, don't like but forgot to return. I got them on a big sale so not the end of the world but really annoying. Next time I'll be near a gap maybe I'll try.

Online returns are 45 days and in store are 60 days. I don't know why there is a difference! I was outside the 45 day period for an online return and the sales associate was kind enough to still let me do the return today.
Do they not do the paper merchandise credits anymore when you bring something back without a receipt?

@MamaG: This just happened to me too I bought summer clothes and then found out I was pregnant so I needed to return and get maternity clothes instead. I even offered to just take a store credit since I was planning on getting maternity stuff from them anyway... Argh! Hopefully I still like it next year.
