My LO is allergic to LOTS of stuff so I've been reading up on allergies and stumbled upon this article that linked the rise in allergies to the widespread use of antibiotics.

I was floored after reading this article cause it completely explained my situation. I wasn't allergic to anything up until my college years when I suddenly developed environmental allergies and tons of food allergies. In hindsight, this also coincided with two years of frequent antibiotic treatment for reoccurring UTI. The past couple years, I've also noticed that I have "outgrown" a couple of my food allergies; coincidentally (or not), my use of antibiotics have severely decreased. I always thought it was weird to suddenly develop so many allergies when nobody else in my family had any; at least now there's a probably explanation for it.

I'm now gonna research to see if a probiotic regiment will help me and my LO "outgrow" more allergies.

Did you have a similar experience with the onset of your allergies?
