Rolling storage cart for arts & crafts?

Anyone store arts & crafts supplies for their littles in one of these rolling storage carts?
Saw a blog post somewhere on this and think it's a great idea. We have a big closet right off their small play area upstairs that will be perfect to hide the cart. Then I can roll it out when they want to do arts & crafts.

Just looking for some experience /input on different drawer sizing. I'm thinking the narrow drawers will be perfect for construction paper, felt sheets, etc.

What a fantastic idea! We just got DD a bunch of new supplies and it's overflowing now in the little box we had before.

We just cleaned out the garage and did this with an extra storage cart we had! Just like u described the smaller drawers we have the construction paper and coloring books, crayons, pipe cleaners , glue sticks, scissors. And one with play dough and the big one at the bottoms has the bigger bottles of paint. Works well only issue is my 1 yr old DS won't leave it alone. But I like it a lot.

We have a small gray metal rolling drawer unit we got from ikea. It looks kind of like a file cabinet, but it's got like 6 small drawers instead. It works perfect!

I also use one to store my makeup!

Edited: it's this one! The gray in the photo is very dark though... Ours is like a medium gray. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40107872/#/80296125

@abbydabbydoodlebug: yeah, right now I've got stuff on the top shelf of the closet, pipe cleaners and scrap paper in a art bag, markers in extra wipe containers. It's just all over the place!

@pinkb: haha yeah, I'm hoping that storing it in the closet will eliminate some of the 1 yr old curiosity.

We use one and I like the idea to roll it into a closet! It's a little too accessible for LO1 otherwise.

@regberadaisy: You inspired me to organize our art corner in her play room today! Sooooo, I dragged DH and DD to Ikea and went crazy. Haha. DH is currently assembling the shelves I got. This is basically what we're doing in the corner, except we're doing a floating shelf that wraps around the corner and a metal cord with clips for her finished art.

ETA: This was the other option I was thinking of because it's pretty cute, but ultimately I went with the permanent shelves and cups!

@autumnlove: Not really. You have to bend the metal drawers into shape, but it was definitely not one of the worst IKEA things we've assembled.

We have one of those rolling carts with 10 drawers in my son's room, works perfectly.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: omgosh! I Love it all! Especially the blue rolling cart. We have that rod & bucket set up from Ikea too. Except my 17m old can't be trusted yet so all the buckets are sitting on the breakfast counter right now.
What is the name of the metal wire for hanging pictures you found at IKEA? I've been meaning to do that for aaaages.

@regberadaisy: sure, it says there's 5 meters of length, so that's quite a bit I think! I found it in the office area of ikea.

I have that Ikea rolling cart in dark gray. It's AMAZING. I used to use it upstairs next to the rocker for pumping stuff, then it went downstairs to hold DD's books/toys, and now I'm using it for misc stuff in the house. I got another one for the basement, b/c it's just SO versatile!

Works great and hides the clutter
