Do they fit big, small, average? I am ordering a pair for LO, and we have nowhere to try them on here. For that matter, if you own a pair, how did you find the fit? They don't have 1/2 sizes, so I am assuming I should size up.

@MsMini: I bought a pair but they're in LO's room. I'll check them tomorrow but if I recall correctly they seem big.

Good to know, I was thinking of sizing up for him, but maybe I can stick with his current size.

@MsMini: they ran kinda big for us. Mg 2yo wears a size 6 in stride rites but size 6 in salt waters are pretty big on her. I'm saving them for the summer and hoping she grow into them
By then

We just tried on some in the store. They ran big. Also, so e styles fit better than others.

Big and narrow. Some styles don't work for my toddler.

GET A SIZE DOWN.
I have found that the saltwater sandal style that has a buckle across the top fits better if your LO has wide or chubby feet. They are adjustable so they last longer, too, in my opinion. Otherwise, the "classic" style sandal fits a bit tight across the foot. But if your LO doesn't have a wide or chubby foot, they are fine. They stretch out a lot, too.
DD wears a 6 (with some room) but hers are a size 5 and she definitely has room to grow.

The style with the buckle across the top (I think this style is cutest) doesn't have the narrow fit:

Spin off from @Rainbow Sprinkles' post - have any of you had trouble with the fit of the traditional Saltwaters? My DD has sort of chubby feet - not really, but they seem to be kind of meaty at the top rather than being really flat... her Saltwaters don't seem to fit at all because the sandal part is too flat. Maybe I should try then type with the buckle.

@septca: Yes, that buckle style is much better for chubbier feet!

hey guys... i'm ordering a pair of original saltwaters in tan for my daughter... she's currently between a 4 and 5, but the store online only has sizes 4 and 6. help! which one do i get? thanks in advance!

I've found that the ankle straps on the heart style (at least in the smaller sizes, like 6 and under) is very short....my kids don't happen to have chubby feet or ankles, and I always had it on the last hole!
In the adult/big kid sizes I order for myself, I order up (I'm a 7.5 and feel like the 8 fits better than the 7).

@tysonja: My daughter wears a size 5 in most toddler shoes, and her size 4 Saltwaters are still big on her. I'm guessing she'll be able to wear them until she's at least a size 6 in other shoes.

@tysonja: size down to 4. My daughter who is borderline size 11 in everything else fits perfectly in saltwater 10s

Agree with them running big. I bought a pair for my DD last year and they were way too big (you couldn't see her toes). She wore them anyways, but I think they will be perfect this summer.
