It looks like DS inherited my fall allergies! It comes and goes and is definitely manageable most days. We've given benadryl a couple of times when it's been bad, but today he woke up really stuffed up with dried mucus. Is there a OTC decongestant that works for toddlers? Or is the waiting game and/or benadryl our only option?

@mrsjyw: I think there's a child's Claritin that you can use? I'm not positive on that, but I feel like my SIL (a nurse) said she gives some sort of Claritin to her two year old and that it works pretty well.

It wont get rid of congestion but if your LO is over age 2 you can put him on a daily dose of Claritin or zyrtec to prevent future flare ups - My DS is on Claritin in the fall and spring

I give DS children's Allegra.

My LO inherited our seasonal allergies so she is on a daily dose of children's Claritin in the summer and it helps it never get bad
