DH is in a wedding in a month and I found a dress I love but I definitly need some slimming and compression. I've never owned shapewear before and there are just way to many choices anywhere from $10 to $150. I'm willing to pay for something good, I'm just having a Hard time understand how one set of spandex could be so much more expensive than another lol. Any reccomendations? Do I need the $150? And what's with all the different styles lol? Help me please

I think your best bet might be heading to a store, like Macy's, and trying some on. It's hard to know what will work and what size to get when just shopping on-line.
Depending on what kind of shapewear help you need, I'm a big fan of these undies for controlling the muffin top/belly area: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MK6O1J8/ But if you want help with butt/thighs or higher than your stomach, you'll want something more encompassing.

I've only owned the spanx brand, but I've owned the cheap ones and the pricier ones and the cheap ones don't stay put!

I have one by Spanx, and it works fine. Not super comfortable, but it smooths out all of the bumps and makes me look less frumpy.
