I don't know if girls sizing is the same as boys, but toddler goes up to size 12, then starts over for "kid" then goes to like a 12 or a 13, and then mens shoe sizes start at a 4.

My son is not even 2 1/2 yet and he wears a Toddler 9, and I always have to google size charts when I buy him shoes because sometimes I can't remember how long he has until the number start over.

My almost 6 year old is in a size 13 which is the last size before they start over at a 1 again. They label the shoes "toddler" sizes so that you don't get confused with an adult size 9 (not that you could, but you have to specify for some).

@Becky: Definitely not. I never understood why they call them "toddler" but it seems to be the distinction between younger kid sizes and older kids. Mine is 5, 42 inches, 43 lbs, and a size 10/10.5 right now.

@SweetCaroline: my kid definitely falls under the Bigfoot label he's 28 months & wears 9 toddler and I swear everyone I buy new shoes (fairly often in my opinion) he goes up 2 sizes at a time. Which makes me feel bad because I worry his feet have been cramped, but I think he stretches then out some in the time it takes me to catch it.

This cracks me up because I just bought DS (3.25) new sneakers and he went from a 10 to a 11.5! I think Sketchers run small though, but the outlet store prices are great!

My son is 4.5 and wearing somewhere between a 7 (crocs) and a 9.
