Does your child know what Shopkins are? Do they play with them/ask for them? We held off on them for a long time and then this past weekend she got a free gift at a toy store grand opening, she picked the Shopkins. She loves them. She wants to know all of their names and loves playing with them along with her other little toys.
I don't get them but if she likes them, I guess we found another Christmas gift.

My cousin gave her some at a wedding a couple weekends ago. She played with them then but hasn't really since. DH is happy cause he hates them and doesn't want them in the house.

She does - although I think she's leaning towards being "over" them. She was obsessed all summer though! She also likes squickie-do's (something like that) which are very similar.

My son discovered shopkins at the grocery store. He is hilarious because he asks for them under the pretense that he's trading them with my mother....who has them lined up on the windowsill in her kitchen, lol.

Yup. I don't totally understand it, but then again, I did and played with weird shit when I was a kid too I'm sure. My parents were probably like "why the hell does she want an electronic pet on a keychain?" So there's that. HAHA.
My kids are obsessed with them. They play together for hours!

She was really into them last year. We have almost every single shopkin from seasons 3,4, and 5. It's fun to look through and try to find the ultra rare ones. She collected and played with them daily for a year.

Shopkins aren't as popular where we live and there seems to be a huge lag when it comes to releases. For instance, season 2 Shopkins are still readily available. Last summer, I bought some Season 1 blind baskets for the purpose of reselling them (out of curiosity). Now I somehow have a box of Season 1 stashed for DD to open every few weeks.

She just started to get into them and told me the other day that she had wanted Shopkins for years and years, in fact before the dinosaurs were here, ha. Anyway, her little brother has bought her some for her birthday next week

My 3.5 LOVES them and has been collecting them since she was almost 2. She likes to set them up in her dollhouse, role play, or cook them up in her pots and pans in her toy kitchen then pretends to eat them. Hahaha. She also trades with friends. They are basically cute miniature figurines made of plastic but can get annoying when they are all over the floor, like a pile Legos.

@mediagirl: I didn't realize that it included glow-in-the-dark pieces. I only bought one pumpkin and thank goodness 1 of them was glow-in-the-dark!
