We have a 4 bedroom house. DH and I are in the master, and then we have 2 bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bathroom and 1 bedroom with it's own attached bathroom. When we first moved in our house a little over a year ago, I let my kids pick out their own rooms. My oldest son wanted the bedroom with it's own bathroom, because it was the biggest room. My younger son got one of the bedrooms with the Jack and Jill bathroom.

DH and I are TTC for a third, so we're already thinking about what we would do if we have a baby. I don't think it's a big deal if it's a girl and she shares the Jack and Jill bathroom with her brother. The bathroom has two sinks, so they would each get their own sink and would only be sharing the toilet and shower. However, my husband thinks it wouldn't be appropriate for a girl and boy to share a bathroom, and he thinks we should make our oldest son switch rooms if we have a girl, so she can have her own private bathroom. What do you all think? Does it matter if siblings of different genders share a bathroom?
