Please post when you get back from your trip! My husband is considering applying to a job there and I've never been. Very curious....

We were just there this week! We only had 1.5 days, so it was very quick. The highlight was definitely the hotel with the rooftop pool! Other than that, we did a river cruise which was fun and we learned a bit about the city. Definitely go to the Gardens by the Bay and take your swimsuits. There's a neat obstacle course thing for bigger kids and a fabulous free splash pad. The ArtScience museum has an amazing hands on exhibit for kids, yours would love it! We also checked out the Robertson Quay area which has lots of places to eat!

@Mrs. Bee: we were there in the spring. We enjoyed eating in hawker food courts (we liked Teong Baru a lot), shopping in the Orchard road area, the Singapore flyer, gardens by the bay has a few really cool places such as a cloud forest which we really enjoyed. ArtScience museum right now is a must see. We ran out of time but had planned to go to the zoo and Sentosa island.

If you have time, take the kids to Port of Lost Wonder on Sentosa. My son, 3.5, at that time loved it. We stayed at the V hotel Lavendar and loved that there was a 24 hr kopitiam right under neath the hotel with other food stalls. A great place for jetlag. Check out chinatown (hawker food also) and little india. Marina Bay Sands is a really nice hotel and we stayed there for a few nights and enjoyed their infinity pool and the gardens next to it. Also liked the River Safari park.

I really wish we had more time to go to museums, but if we really love it we might come back. Plane tickets to Singapore are very inexpensive from the Philippines, but the problem is that Singapore is expensive!

The aquarium is pretty decent (although I remember it being a little pricey!) and definitely recommend Indian food, going to one of the good "street food" places, and getting some bread ice cream after dinner!
