Hi all! I am due with my first baby in April and I'm in the process or working out if I should get and single or double electric pump. I will be a SAHM and plan to primarily nurse but also do a little pumping so that DH can do some feedings (probably not more than 1 or 2 a day, and probably not every day). My question is, for this volume, am I better off getting a single or double pump? I am looking at either the Medela Swing or the Medela Pump In Style Advanced. Cost is not a factor as my insurance covers both, so I am just wondering which one would be more convenient for my situation. Can double pumps be used as single pumps if needed?
I'm a SAHM and only ever pumped to have a small stash and relieve engorgement when I had a clogged duct. I successfully BF my first LO until 13 months and am still going strong with DD2 at nearly 12 months.
