I would try a variety... I tend to over-research all baby-buys but in ended up deciding I would rather him drink from a sub-par cup than not drink at all.

We love the 360 cup and the kids Camelbak. The 360 is perfect for learning how to drink it from a real cup and the camelbak makes it easy when we're out because we have adult Camelbak and let him use that. The nuk learner cup is also a good option, but I preferred that more for ages 6-8m.

Have you tried a straw cup? Both my boys preferred it.

ETA- I started with thinkbaby and vital baby straw cups since they both preferred a slow flow at the beginning.

We had like 40 different sippy cups.
They all preferred the Take and Toss sippys.

For water bottles we use the kid Camelbacks. The bite valve is similar to nursing I guess. That was really the first one they all understood how to use.

T still does not get lifting bottles or supply cups. She only uses a straw cup. We use Zoli.

She much prefers straw cups. Zoli and munchkin click lock cups were easy for lo to use at first, though we prefer the thermos foogo ones now for less spilling (did't discover those until later).

We also had a problem , years ago I used the tupperware cups with my kids and no problem . We used the skip hop straw cups and now use take and toss straw cups. We offered multiple times a day!

DS never understood the kind with the bite valves. At first we used take n toss straw cups and sippies and oxo sippies. But nothing really clicked until we did juice boxes. I know juice is unpopular around here, but it was key for us. We would squirt a little in his mouth, then squirt a little more when he put his mouth on the straw.

DD didn't understand sippy cup (that you have to tilt it) at 1... We went straight from bottle/straw cup and then open cups. We never had any sippy's!
