LO is 7.5 months. We have a baby scale at home and he's 20 lbs these days. His last height check was at the doctor's office and he was 27 or 28 inches long. He feels so heavy these days! I saw a 30 lb one year old once and she looked like a chunky baby. My guy doesn't look like a chunky baby, but I kind of feel like he is. He's still filling out some of his 6-12 mos clothinh.
How small or big is your baby? Does he or she look chunky to you?

Little girl is almost 4 months old and I would guess to be about 16lbs or so. She doesn't look super chunky but a lot of her weight is in her thighs!

W is 9 months, and I think he's about 16lbs. He was 14lb6oz at his 6 month appointment. It's funny because I thought he was chunky, at least compared to B who was always in the bottom 5th percentile, but at his 6 month appointment he was actually a little lighter. We've since introduced solid food, though, so hopefully he's chunked up - it would be nice to have a baby who's weight I'm not always stressed about.

DD is a couple days shy of 14 months and is 22lbs. She's been average - chunky weight since birth. I'm not sure about her height. Right now she seems kind of average to me. From 3-10 months I considered her chunky. She had so many leg and arm rolls! She still has bigger thighs but her arms are a lot slimmer.

DD2 is 6.5 months and is about 14 lbs (I think 13th percentile), but she looks chubby because she's only 4th percentile (24.5 inches).

DD2 is 22.8lbs. She's in the 90% for height, weight, and head circumference. She definitely looks chunky!! Love chunky babies.

DS is 15 months, 23 lb, about 25% percentile and tall. He looks skinny to me, he basically has no rolls anymore

DD3 is almost 11 months.
She was 22lbs and 30.5" at her nine month appointment. Even though she at the very top of the chart she doesn't look super chunky, just looks solid and muscular.

DD is 18mos and last time she was weighed she was 22lbs and 29 inches long...she's in the 5th percentile for height.

I don't think my son looks very chunky, but he's long. He's been 80+ percentile length since he was born. So everyone always says he looks big! Not sure of his weight now, but he was almost 12.5 lbs at two months.

Team chunky baby over here. 7.5 months old and 19.5 lbs at a sick visit last week. I'm not sure of her height, but at her 6 month check up she was in the 86th percentile. Her daycare teachers call her marshmallow.

Ok, I can't stand it and the replies aren't helping me figure this out. 
At daycare he's pretty much in a room of similar sized babies- mostly boys. One appears to be lankier than him, but he's 3-4 months older. One other boy baby is big, but his parents are giants. Anyway, is my baby chunky? Two pics to get a feel for his size.

He looks pretty average to me. I found with DS that he tends to grow out, and then up. So he'll get a big pot belly, and then he'll start to get longer and the belly will disappear. I think if they're in the size for their age (so at 7.5m if he's in 6-9m clothes) then they're average.
DD right now is almost 4m and probably around 14 pounds. She's pushing the limits of 0-3m clothes length-wise, but 3-6m stuff is pretty loose on her.

I grow big kids so for me he looks perfectly normal. I've learned after 5 years not to let scales bother me.

@junebugsmama: @pwnstar: thanks! @ShootingStar: I know what you mean about the belly. He needed more fabric to cover his belly and chest, which was the primary reason I put him in 9-12 mos onesies. Sitting up was fine, but as soon as he was on his tummy he was nothing but chest. His pants are sized 6-12 mos and still fit right.

My 13 week old is about 15.5 lbs (we go for our appt tomorrow) and is in 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. She is about to outgrow the length on the clothes and diapers are starting to leak. 
ETA: she was 90th percentile across the board at 2 months.

My girl was/is never chunky! She was more or less 50% for weight/height through her first year of life, and currently she's on the short side (but I'm short), and decent weight I guess! I don't really pay attention; our doctor always said she's growing right on her curve!

LO is 26 pounds at 11 months. He's not gained much weight in the past couple of months. They slow down so much when they start moving!! Last they measured him I think he was around 29inches. He's pretty big. Above the 90th percentile for height and weight.

How cute is your LO!? Your LO sounds like my LO. He feels solid but doesn't look overly chunky. His chubby cheeks are gone now but he's still a solid boy at 2 yr 4 months.

My girl is 3.5 months. I don't know how much she weighs but she was 12 pounds at her 2 month appointment and I'd guess she is close to 14 now. Her thighs are amazingly chunky and she has a roll in both her wrists! I call her my preciously plump golden nugget!

DD is almost 17 months and is 32.5 inches and 25 pounds, which I think puts her in the 75-80%? I think she looks chunky - she's got a little pot belly and some rolls. She was a preemie and has been skinny for most of her life, so it's a little surprising to me!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: he's so so cute! He doesn't look that big to me at all. I have seen both sides of the baby size scale in friends' kiddos and he looks average to me. This is also coming from someone who has a just over 19 pound 13.5 month old!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I agree he looks pretty average and is so cute!! T is 15 months and about 27 lbs, 30 inches tall. He is definitely short and chunky! O is 13 months, just hit 20 lbs and 28.5 inches. She's very petite but is now starting to get a little belly and is back on the growth charts! They are SO different but both well within normal.

At his 6 month visit he was 29.5 inches and a little over 19 pounds! I used to think he was chunky but he's just sooooo tall! I will probably be moving him to 12 month clothing very very soon because everything is looking to small. His 12 month PJ's are just about too small also.

My DS is 5.5 months old and a total chunk. He weighed 19lbs at 4 months, so I'm guessing he'll be well over 20 at his 6 month appointment in a few weeks. He is wearing 12 month clothing, but some brands run too small and don't fit over his thighs. He's in the mid-high 90s percentile in height and weight. He's just a solid kid. I love chunky babies.

At his 6 mo appointment he was 28.5in (98%) and 18lbs 8oz (68%). Now he's 16 mo and at his last well visit (15 mo) he was 32.68in (93%) and 25lbs 4oz (83%). Even though he's on the larger side, he always fits into the proper clothing size. But most of his clothes are Zara and they seem to run a bit big.
Your babe doesn't look huge! I always say my LO is all muscle because even though he's on the bigger side, he doesn't look chunky at all.
Does your guy have big feet? My LO has enormous feet. The shoe sizing lady at stride rite told me that babies who are solid like him tend to have big feet and their feet don't really get thinner until school age!

S is almost 8 months and weighs 19lb. She's a giant compared to her big sister - she's wearing clothes I can distinctly remember E running about in! We joke that she's going to be an Amazon! She looks perfectly in proportion for a baby, just big! Mind, E was under 6lb at birth (39wks) and is a skinny Minnie now, so my perspective is all off.

@Portboston: Sounds like the growth tends to slow at some point. Same here with the feet- they are massive! The store where I get most of his clothes is overseas and I am tempted to buy booties from them, but since his feet are big (fat) I am worried they won't fit and shipping them back will be $$$.

DS1 was 20.12 lbs and 30.5" long.
DS2 was 23 lbs and 29" long.
DS1 is now almost 4. He's 36lbs and 41" tall.
DS2 is now 16m. He's 27 lbs and 33.25" tall.

My son is 7.5 months too and he's 26lbs and 31" - he's 100th percentile for both so definitely big He just looks really solid though and older, not chunky. Some of his 24 month stuff is getting small on him!
