LO's lovey, the one we bought her when she was born and take all of her monthly pictures with, is gone 
It fell out of the stroller this morning, and DH can't find it anywhere. We have called everywhere we can think of, but it seems to be gone.
I know it is just "stuff," but man does this feel awful

Oh no! What type of area do they stroll through - is it residential or commercial?
Do you have a pic of the lovey you could crop out and show us so we could help you find a new one or was it a family heirloom?

Oh no! Is your LO super attached to it? Is there any way you can get a replacement lovey?
DH forgot LO's lovey at daycare, and she cried ALL the way home on the train. Luckily we have a spare one but she was not happy to have the inferior replacement.

UGH!!!! Completely understand the feeling. I lost the digital card that had all of DS' pictures on it and it was the worst feeling. I scoured parking lots at night looking for it, I was that upset! It randomly showed up a few weeks later in my car!! I hope it turns up soon!!! Sentimental value is so much more than anything esp with our LOs!
ETA: We have like 7 or 8 A&A security blankets for this fear, thanks to @t-mom: !

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. I totally get that feeling. I wanted to cry whenever son lost his Elmo doll lovey. We found it and I wanted to cry too. I searched like mad on eBay and found the same make and it's on it's way to us anyway but I know it's not really the same. She will grow attached to a lot of things though so hopefully there will be a new special it soon. Maybe something she has also had from the beginning will make it more special.

I'm so sorry! LO's lovey is a frog Wubbanub, and when someone in the church nursery went home with it, we had to scramble to order a new one. I hope that you guys are able to find her lovey or get a replacement!

It was in a commercial area, and I've called every one of them looking for it. No luck. Yes, we can replace it-it was a BlaBla, so easy enough to reorder. I just hate that she has had it from the day she was born, amd now she doesn't It feels like we took something from her, even though it was no ones fault.
@mrsjyw: that story is hopeful! I keep praying it shows up. We did put up posters, so hopefully we find something.

@LovelyPlum: noooooo I'm so sorry!! DD lost her lovey bunny a while back and I was devastated. He was in all of our pictures and traveled with us wherever we went too.. She didn't care too much about the loss ((we got her a new bunny), but I ugly cried and was really upset for a good while.

MIL lost E's wubanub that she had for 2 years (since the day she was born) that she used as a lovey. I seriously cried for 2 days. We named it Samson and it was our favorite.

I totally made a lost poster and am putting it up. Overkill? Maybe. But there are 2 coffee shops and a co-op by where he fell. Hoping someone saw him!

My hope is that some little one found it, and with no name on it, the mom or dad had no where to give it back. I hope the posters work, and if not, I need to put my phone number on hernew one's tag!

That just stinks!! I hope it will turn up! We got DS a Baby Winnie the Pooh when we went to Disney in Oct for work. (DS was 6 months old when we went- and was with us) Its his FAVORITE thing in the world- and my mom suggested we get a second one just in case something happens to it- but I feel like its just not the same!

I didn't read the whole thread but is there a way to replace it... aka can you still buy it? If you can't for whatever reason (aka it was gifted you have no idea where it came from), you should post a picture. HB is really good at finding things on the internets.

AWESOME UPDATE:
After searching and searching, I did make posters and put them around the neighborhood. I called a few places and stopped in every store along the walk route, but to no avail. About two weeks ago, we gave up the ghost and bought a new lovey, thinking this one was gone for good. We got the same dog doll and another one as well, an elephant ballerina. The story was that he left and came home with a new friend. When LO saw her "old" lovey, she got super excited and immediately put him in her mouth I was still sad but getting over it, and LO honestly didn't know the difference. She reaches for him and her new elephant constantly. It's been good, and we put our phone numbers on their tags, just in case.
WELL. It turns out that was not the end of it. I got a call this morning from a woman who said, "I've found your dog! Well, actually I found it a long time ago, but I was taking a walk in the neighborhood and just now saw your poster." !!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny thing is, she lives 4 doors down from us, on the same floor, in the same building, and he's been there the entire time! But now he, the original lovey, is home for good, and we have a spare, just in case. I can't stop smiling. I know she doesn't know now, but I hope that in 20 years, she'll appreciate that someone returned the very first doll she ever got, the one that Mommy and Daddy bought her for her birth day, and the one who was waiting for her when she came to us. All because of the kindness of a stranger!

I feel the same way about J's lovey. My best friend brought 'Figgy' to the hospital for J when he was born. He's actually in his crib singing to her right now, lol
