So in between working on my thesis I decided to watch Three Men and a Baby (which while funny is super sexist) and I started busting up laughing when Tom Selleck's character buys a Sophie from a news stand. I doubt it cost 25 bucks then.

I always think of that movie when I see one, and had no idea she was called Sophie or is such a "thing" until very recently. "That's a dinosaur!"

That's interesting - the toy wasn't even available in the U.S. when that movie was made! I wonder how the prop-master came up with her.
