Are you doing a pre dinner cocktail? I really like the Bourbon Spice Rack, it is really unusual but soooo good.

When I want to do something special, I like to do individual filet mignons, wrapped in bacon and crusted with mustard and pecans. I also like to serve that with a lobster tail and drawn butter.

Dessert I like to buy something from the bakery...there's one near us where I can get say, 3 small things, like a tiramisu, a cheesecake and a chocolate mousse.

I do Gordon Ramsey's beef wellington. I find watching the video is much more helpful than a text recipe.

My DH is a steak and potatoes guy, so I would go to the butcher and get nice T-bone and marinate it the way he likes. I would do parmesan garlic roasted red potatoes, jalapeno poppers, and probably ice cream cake since that is his favorite (not super fancy but well he's not that fancy and I know it's what he'd like ha)

Gordon Ramsey's steak sandwiches with tomato relish. So tasty. And small chocolate lava cakes. Super easy and quick.

I typically do a whole roast chicken with potatoes and gravy. Either that or just some simple fried Rosemary cutlets with gravy. My husband loves gravy and I don't make it that often.

First course: baby arugula salad with green apples and goat cheese (or similar “fancy” salad)

Lobster salad and great Italian/French bread: if you can get lobster at a reasonable price, just take the cooked chop meat and mix with a SMALL amount of mayo, a good squeeze of lemon and a bit of salt and pepper. Serve with a good crusty loaf of bread.

Homemade vodka sauce over fresh and/or handmade pasta

Dessert: Panna Cotta is ridiculously easy to make and people always seem impressed by it. It’s rich, creamy and something different.
