She just loves it from the tap too much. I had a feeling this would happen...she won't even take a paci!

Try not to worry too much. She'll figure it out. The first few days will be tough, but eventually she'll know that if she wants to eat, she's gotta take the bottle. She won't starve herself.

She won't starve. What she may do is reverse cycle so eat more when with you and nap/sleep eat less during the day.

My DS did the same thing - lasted a few days and reversed cycle (nursed all night long - it sucked!)

R would hardly ever take one too. We had bottle boot camp the weekend before she started. I would pump and DH gave her a bottle Sat and Sun when she would have been at day care. She fought it but by Sunday, she even took a bottle from me. She will eat if she gets hungry enough. She will be up more at night though.

Still won't take a bottle. She gags so bad on anything in her mouth aside from my boob! She got the oral rotavirus vax today and started gagging and choking as the nurse was giving it to her.
First day of daycare tomorrow! We'll see.

Oh, good luck! I was in the same boat up until only about a week ago: LO started a couple days of daycare last week, and got super angry when they offered her a bottle on the first day (which is the same reaction she'd been giving every other time she'd been offered a bottle in her life). She'd only been accepting a pacifier for about a month, but finally after that first day of daycare I was determined to make bottles work. Like @Smurfette:, we did a "bottle boot camp," where my husband would give her a bottle while I pumped, and we basically had to just wear her down. She definitely still prefers one type of bottle (the Lansinoh Momma) over all the others that we've bought and tried, but as long as she's willing to accept it, I'll take it.

Have you tried a different kinds of bottle/nipples. We had to go through several different types before we figured out he loved the basic Gerber bottles. Wish I'd known that before I spent half a fortune on fancy bottles.

I spent most of maternity leave, hundreds on bottles, and 100+oz in milk trying to get LO to take a bottle before going to daycare. It made no difference. She got the hang of her Medela bottles a couple days into daycare. Your LO will get it too.
