Just got my first Stitch Fix. I wanted to love it. I actually liked 3 of the 5 items...but wound up keeping nothing. Why? I found the fabric just hideous, and expensive for cheap quality. I was sent a pair of pants (didn't work, was sent a petite size, not sure why as I'm certainly not a petite but beyond that I literally couldn't pull them up over my thighs, and I wouldn't say I'm particularly large), 3 tops (all fine but cheap, scratchy polyesther), and a dress that just didn't fit right. I was disappointed. I liked the tops but they were all close to $50. For cheap polyester I could get the same thing at Kohl's for under $20.
I'm wondering if I should schedule another shipment or just say, not for me. They seem like they have good customer service and the items they sent were certainly my style, but the pricing for the quality seemed off.

The first box I got I sent everything back. A couple things I might have kept if they were a bit cheaper. But my second box was great! I kept everything! Maybe give it one more shot? I was also way more specific in my note to the shopper on what I was looking for in my second box.

I've really liked it. I would probably contact CS about the petite pants—they're pretty good about fixing it if they are able!!

I kept one thing from my first box...I agree about many of the fabrics. I liked many of the items but they just weren't quite right. I'm getting one more and then I'll probably cancel.

I've done 5 boxes now and have had some fantastic hits and some big misses. I think a LOT depends on the stylist and how specific you are in your feedback/instruction. I was pretty brutal at the last fix and gave some very specific do's and don'ts for my August fix. We will see. If it doesn't seem like they listened, I'll cancel. I've really enjoyed the experience, though, and just pinning things for Stitch Fix has helped me figure out some styles I gravitate towards.

@jessibear: me too! I normally hate Pinterest but it has really helped me define the style I'm aiming for. I feel like now I can pick out things that will be in the style I want. I'm trying a personal shopper service at Macy's in a couple of weeks so I think I'll see how that goes before deciding what to do about Stitch Fix.

I did it for a few months and got a few nice items. My last box was terrible so I haven't gotten one since. Nothing was my taste at all and I had been pretty descriptive. I bet some stylists are really good and others are useless so it's hit or miss.

Agree on the quality. Not great. I have kept one or two shirts from a box but nothing else. I even wrote in one of my comments that i want to go up in price but they sent me another box of cheaper items that didn't fit well because the fabric wasn't good quality.

I have had very mixed experiences. And a few of the items I e kept have been poor quality--pulling or ripping after only a few wears.

Trunk club is starting a waiting list for their new women's service. I have a feeling it will be more expensive than stitch fix (but I don't think you pay anything for the service), but the quality might be higher. It's owned by Nordstrom.

I think you have to find a good stylist. I just got my fourth box and it was awesome. I'm keeping all 5 items. Each box has gotten better.
I love the service. Some boxes are misses but overall it saves me a trip to the mall so I'm a fan!
Their customer service is great. Make sure you update your profile to say no polyester, and then emphasis it in your note. You can also ask for a new stylist.

I want to try a box because everyone I know seems to love the products! Especially because I feel like my body is hard to fit sometimes. But I also hate the gamble of wasting money

I didn't love it! There was only one item I kept from my first box and part of it ripped in the wash (on a delicate cycle). Most of the stuff was way overpriced. I didn't mind the different styles and probably would have kept it if it were more affordable. It was nearly $400 to keep the whole shipment!

I got a gift card to stitchfix and got three boxes...I ended up keeping two items. I was unimpressed with the quality of some of the items and I thought they were overpriced, but I really felt like they were advertising this personalized service that just didn't exist, at least not for me.
For my first box, I left a note for my stylist that said I was nursing, so please no dresses, and then received two dresses. They started sending me a lot of geometric prints (which I did like) and in the feedback before my third box I asked if I could have items that were less geometric and more spring because it was April or May and I wanted lighter clothes. And then my fix came with four geometric print items. That's when I gave up. Also my gift card ran out

I LOVE stitchfix.
Last time, I kept my whole box. I'm very specific in my requests, and my stylists have been spot on. My first box I only kept 2 times, but loved the whole box - I just got preggo in between ordering in and receiving lol!
