@CatchAFallingStar: aw, I love that! Mine isn’t that interesting! My first name is Diana, a few close friends call me Di and a favorite teacher in high school called me Lady Di.

It’s a joke. My husband called me you boots once because of my enormous (according to him) collection. I have like 15 pairs but I live in the PNW and work outside year round in a variety of conditions. Rain boots, riding books, duck boots, booties etc.

@CatchAFallingStar: Love that! Mine is so not interesting, haha. Wrkbrk = Work break. Like, when I’d be on the blogs, during breaks from work. But I’m the same username absolutely everywhere so at least it’s easy. Someone once told me they thought it stood for “workbook” and I was a teacher! Lol.

DW’s nickname for me was/is muffins. I said one day I wanted to open a food truck called Muffins Muffins that sold only muffins obviously

Everytime I'm about to head out the door -whether it's for work or grocery shopping - my youngest (4) gives me a big hug and tells me: "I need you to remember one thing while you are away: you're pretty, and gorgeous, and a dynamite gal." He does this while counting them off with his fingers. Just out of the blue one day. I decided to own it.

P.S. The character from Wreck-it-Ralph that is endowed with the same nickname, is my favorite character from the movie.

Mine means little hazel(nut) in French. I’m a French teacher and my avatar photo is of my dog Hazel when she was a puppy. Yea I couldn’t really think of anything, I didn’t want to use my regular/identifiable username either. I wanted to change it at some point but never did and now idk if anyone is even manning this operation to put the change through!

Mine is pretty obvious, but I also used it because I have a very uncommon name, so I'm easy to pinpoint... One of the many reasons I liked naming my son Samuel; no one will say or spell it wrong like I've got my whole life.

For me, I accidentally named my kids after the characters in a young adult fiction story about princes turning into tigers! I was SO MAD when i realized it but have since moved on and thankfully there is no movie coming out.

Before blogging I was beaker, because my oldest would do this huge exaggerated frown when he was sad as a baby, like beaker from the Muppets

Yellow has always been my favorite color, and I grew up in a beach town on the ocean. They both give me peace.

My favroite color is green and I like some shades more than others. While I like chartreuse a lot I thought “lemon-lime” was more approachable. Plus at the time I was living in Florida and the citrus theme was an homage to my locale.

I joined while TTC, and I wanted a username that was totally unrelated to anything I have used elsewhere on the internet. I'm from Baltimore, so . . .

We planted a tree in our yard to remember our baby I miscarried. It was a sugar maple tree.

Hypatia was a Greek philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who lived in Alexandria during the time when Christians and Pagans were vying for control of the Roman Empire. She was a Pagan but was tolerant of Christians, and she thought that they'd be able to coexist peacefully. A bishop spread rumors that she was a witch and she was manipulating the prefect of the city, so a mob of monks dragged her from her carriage into a church where they stripped her naked and stoned her to death. Ironically, all the work she'd done to form a peace was upended by her murder, and the bishop who likely ordered her death eventually was successful in his rise to power.

I chose her name because she's one of the first female mathematicians we have records about, and her story is an interesting one. I'm neither Pagan nor Christian, though.

My first username was simplyfelicity which just means I love the simple things in life.

My current name is crazydoglady (which is obviously a play on crazy cat lady) because we have 3 dogs. I don't even love dogs that much...I just think it's crazy that we have 3.
