Stovetop is too much effort! Microwave.
Although.... I'm not one for popcorn to begin with.

@.twist.: LOL I was about to come back and edit to say I'm also too lazy for stove top! And I also don't like popcorn...whenever I make it it's for DH.

@lawbee11: haha!!! We can hold hands while being chastised by the popcorn lovers! DH loves it so much he will go to the theatre to buy it and bring it home for a movie.

We have an air popper, but I make kettle corn on the stove. I loooooooove popcorn! It's embarrassing how much popcorn I can eat it one sitting.

@.twist.: my mom, my DH & my BFF all hate popcorn so I don't think that is that strange. I do think it's a little strange to buy some at the theatre for home though lol
@Kimberlybee: if you don't burn it & melt your own butter it does! lol

Microwave with a brown paper bag. It's the only way that I'll do microwave popcorn now.

Microwave! Can you do stovetop popcorn with an electric flat-top range? (eta: referring to the jiffypop type things, not using a pot, hehe)
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
@fairy: no idea. We have an electric but it's not flat top....I've never used jiffy pop.

I love stove top, but I rarely make it. I usually opt for microwave because it's easier.

My Dad used to make stovetop when we were kids. So good. But, we always make microwave.

@fairy: yes! I've used jiffy pop on my glass top stove!
Microwave. I'm lazy. But Quinn popcorn because the bag isn't bad for you & it's the yummiest thing ever I'm going to eat a bag of olive oil & herb when I get home tonight!

@.twist.: Uhhhh, I've totally done that. Only once, and it was absolutely worth it! Haha

Stovetop or air popped! Sometimes I go to the theater for the popcorn and bring it home.

@Mrs. Sunshine: it's fun! You microwave the popcorn & then add the toppings yourself! Here's the back of the box for this one
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@Mrs. Sunshine: Stovetop! Cheaper, and then you can add exciting flavours.

Stove top. I can't eat the microwaved stuff anymore, I'm way spoiled. I even have a jug of the salty buttery powder they use to make it at the movie theater, yum!

The chemicals involved in making microwave popcorn bags weird me out. I do air pop or stovetop.
